Sushi Express - Washington DC - Photo album

There is no signage on the exterior building or the street to identify this restaurant. Once inside, it seems caught in the early 2000s with updates taped over original signs. A 2-person operation, service may take a bit of time while they are working to complete an order or maintain the restaurant
This place is truly a hidden gem. 11/10 recommend. Great prices and very quick and delicious. My coworkers and I order sometimes and it always makes our days.
This is like the Sushi Stop of the east coast except no need to tip since it is counter service. Individual roll prices are cheap, but you can get even better deals with their combos. There is seating but not exactly a nice sit down place.
One of the best kept secret lunch spots in the area. Used to come here each week for sushi when I worked downtown. Amazing prices and great deals, plus always fresh tasting fish. Cooked options as well.
My go-to place near the office. The veggie special is my personal favorite!
I’ve been coming here for almost 15 years - always great sushi!
Exceptionally clean and quick, albeit a little hard to find (search the second floor via escalator or climb the stairs on the library side.) Yakisoba looks delicious, and the miso soup is perfect for a chilly day. Prices on the website need to be updated, the $7.50 special has been bumped up to $10.
Wonderful food! The cheapest best tasting sushi in DC! Definitely worth going, if you’re having trouble finding it it’s on the top floor in the business building
This place is literally a hole in the wall, and difficult to find, but it is spotlessly clean, and the service is great. Located on the interior of an office building behind a pizza place, a Washington Sports Club, and an art store, they stay in business because their food is good enough for people
Amazing sushi at reasonable prices.
Stellar preparation, flavors, and service. A hidden gem (seriously, it’s hard to find)
I eat here when I am working at a close location. The line here for lunch gets really long so you know it's great. I usually get the bento with miso soup. Sometimes I get snacks like pocky or mochi.
Great value. Feels like a place with real heart behind it. Surprisingly wide menu, going well beyond sushi. A hidden gem of a place.
Best kept secret on K street. Anyone looking for quality sushi seek no further. This is the closest establishment to a SushiStop in DC let alone the region.
Polite staff, clean facility, fresh fish, delicious food. Best onigiri I have found in DC. I highly recommend giving this spot a try.
This is my spot. I love Japanese food and both their sushi and tempura are great. Awesome food and ambiance. :)
Delicious, authentic, hole in a wall Japanese place. My favorite is their Rainbow Roll combo w/ Soup lunch deal.
Good low cost lunch time sushi spot. They always have a lunch special with a roll and soup or salad for $5.50
