Great food. They went out of their way to make sure that we left satisfied when there was a misunderstanding on the order. We will return

Intimate neighborhood Italian place. Great for conversation, dinner party, or by yourself. Excellent menu options balancing pasta seafood and terrestrial selections without being overwhelming. Solid wine list as well.

Never expected to get Italian food outside NY/NJ area this good! Garlic cheese bread amazing! Chicken Parm was so tender it melts in your mouth. Pesto pasta fettucine was exquisite. Make reservations for this tiny, quaint amazing place now!

A nice small family restaurant with a terrace in Capitol Hill. My friends lived their meals. I thought that the Eggplant Parmigiana could be less "breaded" even though the menu described it differently. Service was great, and the staff and owner were very pleasant. Unfortunately, the ambient noise, for me, was unbearable.

First of all, the food and staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was exceptional. I had the Chicken Parmersan, my wife had the Eggplant Parmesan, and my daughter, the Fettuccini Alfredo. The food was very delicious and large servings...should've only ordered 2 entrees for the 3 of us. We will definitely come back the next time we're in DC

What a great little find, a family owned neighborhood spot in the heart of DC. The waiter Taylor recomended the chicken parm and it was tender, flavorfull, simply amazing. Fresh pasta, friendly staff, great service. A bustling little spot in capital Hill. Highly recommend

The dining experience here was superlative. The food was excellent - as good as what I’ve had at small family restaurants in Tuscany. And the hospitality was top notch. We felt very welcomed and enjoyed great customer service throughout the entire meal. We absolutely will be back.

A wonderful neighborhood Italian spot on Capitol Hill. The food here was stellar! My husband and I went in for a Friday night dinner. We enjoyed a lovely bottle of Chianti. They don’t have a large wine menu, but it’s well curated. It was great for someone like me who likes wine, but is a bit intimidated by choosing it. We started with a caprese salad and calamari. Both were fine and what you expect. Although, the calamari was served with their marinera sauce, which was out of this world good. I’ve never had red sauce that packed with umami with a perfect balance of acidity. The main course we split the veal parmigiana and a salad. The portions are generous so it was perfect to split. The veal parmigiana was perfectly breaded and fried thin pieces of veal layered with mozzarella and red sauce and served with spaghetti. It was delicious! Cannot wait to go back and try more. And to eat more of that red sauce. This is what every neighborhood red sauce Italian joint should be. The atmosphere could use a little work, but that is not stopping me from giving this 5 stars.

My husband and I greatly enjoyed our supper at Nostra Cucina. The fresh pasta was excellent and the portions were generous. It’s a very small, informal dining area, yet we were comfortable and enjoyed our evening. The service was a little slow but it was quite busy (dine-in and carry out/delivery) and we weren’t in a hurry. The owner was very friendly also and let us stay and visit beyond their closing time. Would highly recommend!
