Don Juan Restaurant - Washington DC - Photo album

This spot is a STAPLE in uptown (N.W.) D.C. It’s been around for over 40 years serving up that good carryout food!! It IS taco Tuesday, so I figured why not go revisit a spot I knew from my childhood!! Let’s GO!! . Where I am: @donjuansdc . Location Reviewed: 1660 Lamont St., N.W. Washington D.C. .
The pupusas were incredible and the guacamole was out of this world! Will definitely recommend. Also had an Horchata to drink which was delicious 👍🏻
We stopped in here because we heard they had good pupusas. Naturally, we ordered every kind they offered and add in a couple of tamales as well to round it all out. All the food was good, and the staff was very nice!
Ask for the shrimp burrito, you won’t be disappointed. Strawberry Henney gets you right!
This was an awesome experience! We worked late and needed food. They were open late and the service was still amazing! The food was delicous even the left overs 🥰
It’s a family owned restaurant And I loved this place and the staff! Everyone was really kind, nice and friendly. The food and the margaritas was really good! Thank you for the complimentary mini cheese quesadillas and the complimentary dessert! They were delicious, too 😋
I have passed this place for years. Finally sat down and was throughly impressed. Fajitas were on point. Plantains cooked perfectly. My GF never had a corn tamale before, she now has a favorite new dish. The Papousas were my absolute favorite. Definitely a must return 🔥👍🏿
Good pupusas, not too greasy. Huge menu with lots of other options as well.
It has good food and all I think maybe cause it was a soccer game that day it was loud ,then there was a dj with very complicated audio that sounded pretty bad but all in all it was good
Don Juan’s never disappoints. It’s your neighborhood Mex-Salv spot. In my opinion the best experience is in the carryout side. You see the kitchen in action and they practically stay open all night. Great neighborhood spot to lift up!
Just my neighborhood TexMex spot. It’s been in the neighborhood for decades. I suggest the Steak Burrito wrap!
Very good food, great service....a gem in the DC area! Highly recommend.
The food here is fantastic! We would recommend the fajitas for sure. The pupusas are great also, and I loved my chicken burrito. So many good things! Good service too.
