Pitmaster Back Alley - Washington DC - Photo album

Wow! Ladies and gentlemen, you have to be Houdini to find this place. Thank God I had one next to me. It was in our backyard and we had no idea. We accidentally ran into it. Boy, are you in for a surprise. This place looks like Ripley’s Believe It Or Not but the food is incredible. We ordered the A
THE FOOD HERE IS AWESOME, THE MEAT IS TENDER AND MOIST. IF YOUR IN THE DC AREA YOU'VE GOTTA TRY THIS GUYS FOOD OUT. REALLY COOL LAID BACK PPL, ITS NOT A SIT DOWN SPOT YET. YOU GOTTA TRY THEM OUT
Take out place only. Great delicious meats. Sometimes they forget to include a side. Some items require 2 hour lead time. You can buy sodas the or water when picking up. Alley has 2 spots parking for pick up.
Place is definitely hard to find, but you admittedly feel rewarded when you do find it. Staff is friendly and gave extra bbq sauce when asked. Got the Carolina Pulled pork shoulder sandwich and burnt ends. The sandwich was tasty and was a slightly expensive to reasonable value for $13.49. I particul
Excellent service. The brisket was nice and tender and the bun was exceptional. Sidewinder fries were good. I like to eat adventuresome, so I tried the Mother-in-law slaw. It was nice spicy, but a little more sour than I care for. But it was very nicely made, and had lots of good stuff in it. If I w
Hard to find, but worth the adventure!!. 5 of us ordered take out; brisket sandwiches, pork shoulder sandwiches, and wings. Everything was delicious. Take out only, no room for dine in. Suggest ordering online as lobby is small. Staff was very friendly. Can't wait to go back.
Loved it. The beef brisket is a little fatty but that's where the flavor resides. I don't like wedge fries. I love these! I would put heat in the spicy sauce not more spices. Grest if you love smoked protein! I will return.
Very good barbecue (with one caveat— see below): meaty, excellent quality beef and pork, tender, generous portions, fairly priced and promptly prepared. The St. Louis ribs are my favorite item thus far. The chopped pork is very good, too. The beef brisket was tender and had some good richness, alth
This food is some of the best I've eaten in my entire life... I mean wow wow weeewow level amazing. I just got the Carolina pork shoulder sandwich and it made me go back the next day craving it. Hands down the best friend in the world. Sidewinder fries... Who would have thought?
Not only was the food really good, the gentleman working the night we ordered through a delivery 3rd party kindly and very generously brought the food to us himself bc the driver said he'd be a couple of hours delayed. We do not live closeby but he still went way out of his way to bring us our food
Polite, efficient staff. Menu is delicious. Portions are substantial. The roasted Perch is great ... just tge right amount of flour, not overdone like a fish fry. Brisket is succulent.
The food is absolutely incredible, albeit on the pricey side. All I can say is, it's worth totally it. My favorite thing on the menu has got to be the burnt ends. Also a big fan of the wings and fries. The food doesn't take too long which is another big plus.
I've been here for lunch a couple of times and I've no complaints about the food. It is a bit on the pricey side though. You may enjoy their unique beverage selection but I miss my American favorites.
