incredible food, wonderful people, reasonable prices! a gem tucked away just south of silver spring barely within the dc border. must try!
Very good service and love the pictures of Ethiopia and proud Ethiopians (e.g. the King of Ethiopia and H. Gebrselassie) on the walls. Great experience for a Sunday evening tète-à-tète. We had the place to ourselves at around 5 pm and really enjoyed ourselves.
Compared to other Ethiopian restaurants, the quantity was slightly less here. Normally, a vegetarian sampler/platter is enough for me and my husband, but here we had to order two. When we ordered the second time, we were served a larger sample size. The food tastes great. Slightly relaxed and laid b
Were here Saturday January 13, 2018 with the family around 7pm on a semi-cold night. Had reserved and they had saved us the best table in the restaurant. There were mostly Ethiopian men at the bar and at a couple of tables. Typical Ethiopian men they were well-mannered minding their own business. Th
Delicious food. Friendly people, both staff and locals.. Good prices. I was very welcomed, though a different ethnicity. Nice collection of Ethiopian artifacts. I can see why Ethiopian food is the rage! Seemed very authentic food:. I had a lamb dish with a side. Live far away but want to return! W
I don't know if this still has the restaurant attached, but I have been to the restaurant twice (December 2012 and spring of 2013) and both times the food has been superb. My classmate who is Ethiopian recommended it as her favorite restaurant so the first time we went it was for my birthday. It w
Very friendly and great Tibbs. I meet great people.they have all you can eat (lunch) weekdays. Serve beer wine and sprite with fair price. Love it. I will go to this place again. The manager (I think he is the owner) great guy.go & check it out. U will love it.
Reminded me of the food I grew up with. Very delicious and filling. The staff was great and to top it off I was able to buy some ingredients to make my own from their market next door.
Great food and a low key atmosphere. The food is authentic (another place nearby is heavily Westernized). Ethiopian taxi drivers frequent the restaurant, furthering the case for its authenticity.
Small warm ,dark and friendly with actually delicious food. The restaurant is dark and mysterious with just a few tables- several Tables by the bar filled with local Ethiopians chatting amongst themselves and having dinner and drinks.
The food was a little spicy, we asked for it mild and it was.

We got carry out, and it was fabulous! We argued which was best, Derek Tibs, Yebeg Alicha, Kitfo (special with SPICY cheese) or Lamb Tibs. It was all great. Plus nice people and good prices. This is my go to place
Gosh this has to be my all time favorite spot. Keep in mind I order for pick-up. When I have dined in, the service was really good as well.
