This is one of the best (and quite possibly one of the last) dive bars in DC proper. It's the perfect location for a happy hour with friends, but make sure you bring some cash with you.

Unlike a lot of other dive bars in the city that have attempted to appeal to the trendy fake-dive vibe, The Raven keeps it simple. And that's why it's perfect.

Fun place to sit with soda pop and read squeezed into a booth while enjoying Jukebox tunes and occasional conversations with moderately intoxi-mi-cated strangers. The layout is just small enough that it invites mingling or hasty exit alike! Last I checked you could order from somewhere else and eat in there. Also the bartenders are always nice.
