Food was fantastic. Beer was great. Not enough people working for a Michigan vs. Ohio state game but the atmosphere was great. Downstairs arcade was fun for a halftime ski ball game.

Nice big beer hall attached to Astro Donuts on G St, in the heart at the crossroads of downtown and Penn Quarter. Nice selection of local beers on tap, great food, a pool table, and it's probably pretty close to your office and/or conference if you're reading this.
I wish their happy hour was a little more substantial ($1 off select drinks) but the quality of the food, variety of drinks, and convenient location make it worth an after-work visit all the same.

We visited Astro Beer Hall and enjoyed the happy hour selections. Our server, Genesis, was attentive and provided on point recommendations. Would love to see some more hazy selections to the beer line up currently offered.

This is my second time to Astro and it will not be my last. From the good food, to the excellent service, and the outstanding drinks, you have made a repeat customer! Thanks to our waiter, Andrey, for going above and beyond to make sure our table was well taken care of for the night. Until next time!

If you are like me, not into all the expensive and snobby places then you will like this place. The bartender on duty made me feel welcome and they have several types of beer on draft for a very reasonable price and the nachos are good as well and again are very affordable. I wish I would have found this place when I first arrived in DC. So if you are looking for a pub type place, I think you will be happy giving them a try. Thank you for making a Tennessee guy feel welcome.

My friend and I had been having a tough day (more like a tough month), so we went to happy hour. Nicole (bartender) was the absolute BEST! She quickly remembered our names and orders, so the service was faster than I could ever imagine. She always asked how we were doing and was just so absolutely sweet. Wednesday is also trivia night, so we can ended up staying for that. Joe (trivia guy) was a fair judge and did a great job!
Friend and I ended up closing the place down. Highly recommend if you need a place to cry in the corner then laugh out loud at trivia, all while being served some solid drinks!

Love this place! The food was great, my cocktail was on point and love the fun vibes, so many game options for a date night or if you just want to come here to watch a game and grab a beer. Definitely will be coming back!

I’m the trivia host here on Wednesdays. Don’t worry, they don’t pay me, I work for a different company. I’ve been host in a lot of places and seen plenty of different menu gimmicks, vibes, drink specials and so on. Astro easily earns an A in all of those, with excellent food, fast service, and a fun atmosphere.
But one thing that really sticks out to me (in a good way) is the staff. During trivia, one bartender named Nicole basically runs the whole upstairs. And it’s honestly a sight to watch. A typical trivia gig probably has three workers handling this many tables. But she’s an absolute machine. And as the person running the game, the least I can do is let everybody know that nobody would be able to enjoy my games if they had to wait all night in line. She’s killing it.
Tl;dr, come to this place and order the Asteroid and a beer from the lady with the pink hair who is studiously and efficiently an absolute rock without whom trivia would not function.

Dropped by Astra Beer Hall recently and found it to be a lively spot perfect for a casual outing. The establishment has a spacious setting, which I believe would be great for larger groups. Their beer selection is commendable, featuring both local and international options, providing a good variety for different palates. The staff was friendly and seemed well-versed in their offerings, guiding me to try a brew I hadn't before but ended up enjoying. The ambiance, combined with the music in the background, added to the overall relaxed vibe of the place. While my visit was short, I left with a positive impression and would consider returning when in the mood for a good brew.

This place was recommended by a friend and I'm glad I went. They had my dark beer (stout on tap) and the wings were the BEST I've ever had (and I'm a connoisseur). The only thing I didn't care for was the noise level, but I realized why...lots of young folks. But the beer and wings made the visit very worthwhile. I will definitely revisit when in DC.
