Affordable food on the wharf, and pretty good to boot. Not a five star restaurant, and setting leaves something to be desired, but can't complain about the price or taste. Wiskey Sour was not great.

It was a miserably rainy day when my friend and I ended up here, but the staff was warm and welcoming and very friendly. From the moment we walked in the door, I could tell they wanted to take very good care of us. Many of their menu items are labeled "GF" for gluten-free and "V" for vegetarian, which I appreciated very much for taking the guess work out of what might or might not be in their food. (They don't distinguish between vegan or vegetarian, so you'll have to make sure there isn't egg ... but thankfully our server knew to ask if I wanted egg or not on my Singapore Curry Noodles when I asked for tofu.) The food was pretty good! Perhaps a bit uneven, as there were patches of noodles where there were almost no seasonings, and patches where it was too salty. But a good stir and mixing helped even it out. And it was a little on the greasy side, but since they seem to be willing to accommodate requests, I would imagine they might be able to make it a little less greasy if asked. (Will think about asking that next time.)

Nice atmosphere, a bit pricy for better than average Chinese food. Scallion pancakes were good but they weren't serving bahn mi so that was like 1/8 of the menu gone. i would recommend sharing dishes.

The hot and sour soup should have been heated. The entree was served too soon after the appetizer arrived. Better coordination would have avoided this problem. This usually does not occur at this restaurant.

Great service, FANTASTIC authentic Chinese food. It was quite literally one of the best food I've had in a while. If you're in the area or considering this place, DO IT! It's absolutely worth the couple extra bucks. Four people and the bill rounded to about 100$. Totally worth every penny!

Excellent service and fresh delicious food. We were served by Simon who made us feel so welcomed! We were seated 2 minutes before "happy hour" but he graciously offered us happy hour rates all evening! Service with a smile...that's Jenny's at the Wharf!

Jenny's At The Wharf is a hidden DC gem of amazing food. It's tucked away in The Wharf and easy to miss, but try to not overlook it. It's one of DC's best Chinese/Vietnamese restaurants. Here's why: 1) Food: it truly is amazing! The prices are normal DC prices ($14-$16 for a main entree), but the portions are sizeable and you'll leave content. I ordered the Orange Chicken and it came with several large portions of tender, white chicken meat perfectly sauced. Wow, and that sauce...The best I've had! My Monday night dinner buddy ordered the drunken noodles and loved it. They also have a great happy hour! 2) Service: Our server was an older man who clearly loves his job and believes in excellent customer service. He was funny, attentive in a non-aggressive way and very warm. He made you feel good about life. 3) Atmosphere: It's a classic Chinese place in the US with one large room for dining, a small bar area, pillows on a few seats, and nothing too fancy, but it works and it is AWESOME! If you want good Chinese food in DC, come here. It's tied with Panda Gourmet in the Days Inn on New York Ave NE.

This is our favorite restaurant here on the southwest waterfront. The food is always tasty and Jenny and her staff are amazing and treat us like family. I have never reviewed a restaurant before, but know Jenny's is being affected by the surrounding construction. Please don't let the fact they are currently off the beaten path deter you from enoying this neighborhood gem!

This place has delicious food. But what left me most satisfied was the service. It's honestly probably the best service I have ever received from a restaurant because they were all genuinely nice, caring people. You could tell they not only took pride into their job, but they loved their business and their customers. We found this little joint after trying to go to another restaurant which was super packed. It was a bit difficult to find because of all the construction but it was totally worth it once we sat at a table. My mom and I were starving and grumpy due to DC traffic/parking, but Jenny's definitely turned our mood around. (Especially after a few happy hour cocktails) Highly recommend and will hopefully return anytime I'm in the area.

Service was beyond terrific. Our server went out of his way to ensure customer service was his priority. The food as a whole was great... A ordered a couple "so-so" things:Rangoon, and drunk noodles...but everything on else was a hit. Clean dinning as well. Staff greets regulars with a smile. Will come back if I'm in the area.
