A professional club and home of DC journalists. Members are happy to be part of. It is located at the top of the National Press building where mostly all national and international networks have their Washington bureaus.

After touring the National Press Club we immediately sent an email to book. This unique venue was the perfect fit for our DC wedding! George was an excellent resource from start to finish, explaining the Press Club's offerings, coordinating with other vendors, and making sure that we had everything that we needed to have an amazing day. And the food! Unlike so many lackluster venues, the food at the National Press Club was delicious.

Superb spot! Global movers and shakers, and journalistic superstars everywhere. Recommend... if you can get in, of course 😉

Inside a 1927 downtown D.C. building surrounded by deep American history is the National Press Club started in 1908 across the street from its current building. Once only open to white male journalists, the club now welcomes all through membership and public events. It's also a popular wedding venue. I went for a free screening of a documentary film by The Washington Post Opinions section and Ray Whitehouse on a Monday evening. Here's my experience: 1) Space: With a rich legacy, it screams old-school Washington, D.C. from the dated carpet to the media tokens on the walls from statues honoring journalists to old newspaper clippings. The elevators are regal and the bar wooden. There are several meeting rooms and one larger room for their main speaking and panel events. Off from the bar is a dining room with stunning views of the Willard Hotel and Washington Monument. There are plenty of restrooms throughout the floors (the 13th and 14th floors of the building) 2) Parking: For evening events, there's usually street parking for a few dollars along F Street NW. 3) Location: There are plenty of restaurants nearby that stay open through dinner from District Taco to Rice Bar.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION FOR YOUR SPECIAL EVENT!!! We just hosted 250 guests for wedding reception on Sept 9 2023. Everything was PERFECT! George Arffken was our event on-site manager. He was excellent on day one of our initial meeting and throughout. We had several final guest count changes and he was always accommodating. Customer happiness, excellent service, high quality food are clearly his and National Press club priorities. The staff was professional and always smiling. Very gracious and timely with dinner service. The food was excellent. All of the filet mignon and salmon came out perfectly cooked and delicious. Their cheesecake dessert was excellent as well. Open bar service was excellent. Table side wine service was a very nice touch during dinner service. Thank you for making the evening so special for everyone.

I'm writing this review in reference to NPC as a wedding venue. George and the rest of the staff were so helpful and knowledgeable in helping us plan for our big day. The prices was reasonable and the venue offers a classic feel that was right in line with what we wanted. The food was also AMAZING. 10/10 would recommend to anyone! For whatever reason, I'm getting an error when trying to upload a photo. But I'll update this review at a later date!

My company had a holiday party here and the venue was great. Beautiful details everywhere, very classic feel. It was wonderful to have several separate rooms so you could get away from the party and have a conversation if you wanted to

I recently attended Samaritan Ministries annual Next Step Breakfast at the National Press Club and couldn't have been more impressed. Mind you, this isn’t my first time attending an event at the NPC, but it is my first time since Covid. The venue itself is stunning, with a grand ballroom and elegant decor. The staff were very professional and attentive, catering to our every need throughout the event. What’s stood out most were the endless pictures of historical figures prominently displayed throughout the space. Overall, I highly recommend the National Press Club for anyone looking for a sophisticated and memorable event venue with exceptional service.
