We're on our honeymoon, and found this hidden gem on Yelp. We literally walked past the understated storefront and almost left when we saw the downstairs takeout counter, but the party is upstairs. Great energy, delicious food and cocktails, and attentive, friendly staff!!

Our new go-to spot. Came here with a friend and was pleasantly surprised. The food and drinks are consistently delicious and for the price, you don't break the bank. I've never quite been to a place that is as down-to-earth with drinks that are so meticulously prepared (and for good reason!). The Lotus flower (I think that's what he called it) is my favorite, but my husband just comes for the whiskey sour and kebabs. If I was still single, I'd be here every night.

Awesome spot that’s easy to walk past without noticing, but once you do notice…meow. Bar style seating with high energy up top and a more laid back patio space. Up a flight of stairs to the first (and limited) seating area. Down another set for the patio. The service is fantastic, the drinks wonderful (best Caipirinha I’ve had in a long while), and the food wonderful. The crab fried rice was a touch short on crab this visit, but I didn’t really care given the popping flavors. Each dish has a bit of heat, especially the pork noodles. The kind of heat that keeps bringing you back. This spot is an absolute must stop, and while it’s name suggests otherwise, it’s sure to be copied by others looking to capture the same flavors and experience.

We didn’t realize it was such a popular place. It can feel really snug and busy but usually someone is closing a check if you want sit while eating and drinking. They have outside seating downstairs which gives more of a calmer vibe (at least it did at the time). You seat yourself and can share the larger table inside with strangers we ordered lamb skewers and crab fried rice (lol twice) both were good we just didn’t know which one we would want more of drinks we also tasty.

Very hipster, if that's what you want its good. They blare the music too loud so it's the perfect place to bring anyone you dont want to talk to. Food is pretty good.

CopyCat is my favorite bar. Inside a building on H st. with the kitchen downstairs, bar upstairs and outside on a back patio, you can get whatever vibe you’re looking for. A playlist weaves in and out of conversation to provide a great background. The mixologists are attentive and friendly, walking around to fill water cups and drop off goldfish as you view the menu. All of the drinks, some displayed on the chalkboard behind the bar and other on the menu, are very well balanced and enjoyable to watch as they’re made. (Ask for the country gentleman - my favorite). The food is Asian inspired and surprisingly filling! A bowl of beef noodles and pork fried rice will take care of you if you’ve skipped dinner. Do you have friends visiting DC, need a night cap, out for a date night? Maybe check out CopyCat on H

Copycat Bar is one of the best bars I've been to in my entire life. Initially, I wasn't going to go because I was alone, but damn! I am so happy I did! The drinks are PHENOMENAL and I am not a huge mix drink consumer. I sat at the bar and asked for something, "Sour and doesn't include whiskey." My bartender served up three different beverages and all were outstanding & well balanced. While enjoying my drinks, I watched the bartender make several others and his passion was very obvious. Too bad I am unable to recall his name, but he's certainly a top notch bartender. In addition to drinks, I ordered crab fried rice to-go while I was still on drink #2, ordered drink #3 consumed it and the rice still wasn't ready! Overall, it took approximately 1 hour to receive an order of rice. The wait time for food was a huge buzz killer. I was told the chef only had one wok. I highly recommend this bar, just order your food immediately after arriving.

Upscale bar drinks but pretty reasonably priced. The bartenders seemed to love their job and were very friendly and attentive. I had a Jameson and ginger beer but my friends said the drinks they had were good and effective. They also have a variety of Chinese and other asian street food. The lamb dumplings and the skewers were not really enough to share so get your own. The couple next to us recommended the boa and the pork buns.

We dropped in here for the first time with no expectations and everything, from the cocktails to the food and the service, was fantastic. The spot we had come to H street for had a really long wait, so we just walked down the street to see e what else we could find. We were so happy to walk into Copycat Co. and get some seats at the bar. It was just before 6pm so there were just a few spots to grab. The specialty cocktails menu was unique and each drink was well crafted. I had the Terracotta #2 and the Moloko one, both were really interesting and delicious. The second was a suggestion from the server, which I really appreciated. With such amazing drinks, the food didn’t have to be as delicious as it was. But it was. The walnut shrimp and fried rice each packed with flavor and cooked perfectly. And the chili oil on the wontons wasn’t messing around, so good. Even when they were really busy, the bar staff and service was 10 out 10. We can’t wait to return!

The food was delicious, the pork buns are a must! We enjoyed the atmosphere inside but also the outdoor seating. Definitely would recommend the Dan Dan Noodles and will be back for those!

I absolutely love this place. The food is delicious, the cocktails perfectly curated and balanced, the service friendly and efficient. It's a tiny location, so arrive early.
