My wife and I tried this place recently when we wanted some pizza but were looking to try a spot we haven't tried before. The pizza is a bit different than what you would typically expect, but it was absolutely delicious. It reminded me of french bread pizza, but replace the french bread with an airy rosemary focaccia and you have an idea of what to expect. We also tried the calamari, which despite not always being a dish that travels well (via takeout or delivery), was delicious and had a perfect light breading on it. Dessert was great too, though we can't wait to try the gelato once they're making it again. Customer service was great as well. Highly recommend trying out this hidden neighborhood spot!

Came for brunch and stayed a few hours longer than anticipated! The food was fantastic, excellent quality. You must try the gelato, apparently the owner's son went to Italy to learn how to make it. And apparently he's a great student because it was delicious. Staff was polite and attentive. Worth the visit.

I just ate there the other night with friends having come from Venice Italy. I loved the owner and the food was amazing, so authentic. I plan to go back the next time I’m in Washington DC. My friends eat there all the time. And they love it.

Cute Italian bistro with delicious pasta options and gelato! The staff was amazing! We made a reservation through Open Table... we arrived early and were seated immediately. Our waiter was very knowledgeable of the menu and took great care of us while we were there. The food was phenomenal! I was visiting from out of town, but I hope to get to eat here again in the future.

Absolutely wonderful. Fresh pasta with flavorful authentic sauce- incredible gnocchi, honestly out of this world. Good bread, solid house wine, reasonable prices. Their gelato is truly to die for- we had a chocolate orange that absolutely blew my mind. Don't want to miss this local gem.

Delicious! Enjoyed the eggplant Parmesan special. Sat outside on the sidewalk for dinner and wine with friends. Great service from our waiter (Michael?). Gelato was amazing too!

Hidden downstairs, Sorristro serves classic Italian food. There's limited seating, but the food is fresh and flavorful. The dining room and bar feel like a neighborhood joint, but the food quality is excellent. It's probably not ideal for large groups, but is great for a few friends.

By the far the most amazing Italian food I have ever had. Handmade noodles, sausage, and meatballs. All equally amazing. The owner was great, answered all of our questions and was extremely personable. The food came out hot and after sampling everything else my family had as well as my own, was consistently delicious. The service was great, the food arrived relatively quickly. The price was completely reasonable given the absolute quality of the food. We are all so glad we turned a corner and decided to give this place a try. It was some of the best food I have ever had, in a quiet, charming, family built restaurant.

This is a small eatery with a quiet, possibly romantic ambiance. The food was amazing and the staff was very polite. I tried the pasta in white truffel sauce which was delectable.
