Had a great time here. Food was excellent. The Mighty Mo was a great reminder of the Hot Shoppes years of old. In fact, I think the High Velocity Mighty Mo is a shade or two better than the original with Angus beef used. Delicious. Even better than the food was the service. I really felt at home and well cared for. Prompt and really warm with an eye for the details that make a meal like this all the better. Huge Sports monitors in all directions. What more could you want? A+

If you like beer and an atmosphere of a non over crowded bar - try it! Food is casual, but really good quality, and their main focus is craft drafts.

Korean BBQ tacos were really nice, seared tuna salad was a bit too heavy on the dressing, but delicious nevertheless. Relatively nice selection of local beers. Lots of TV screens. A little loud/lively during the day, fairly chill later in the evening.

I was staying at the hotel but had a few drinks there on a Tuesday night. The bar was full but it was not crowded. I had excellent service by a female bartender and the male who took over was equally as great. He even had a fun time with the bar back and it made being there very comfortable. Based on this one-time visit, I would definitely visit again...maybe even tomorrow

Good selection of beer and food. The atmosphere is nice. The seating is interesting, not a fan of the bar stools.

Great food, great service. It's at a high end hotel, so that's expected. If you visit the Marriott Marquis in Washington DC, this is one of a few restaurants within the hotel. Can't say I had a bad meal there at any of them. If you want to watch a home town game, they will try to tune it in for you. They have a LOT of big screen TV's there.

Delicious food & super convenient from the convention center. I got the buffalo wings and the Kung pow fried rice, both were delicious!!! They do serve waffle fries and I prefer regular fries, but regardless, the food was still tasty. Good spot for groups.

Food was good. Nice, clean atmosphere. I think the bar tender was new. Beer came out with 1 in. beer and the rest head in a pint glass. Still tasted great after it rested. Server was very nice.

Fun place to gather with friends. Good food and had a great time visiting with friends. The atmosphere was great and we were able to book out a large space for our gathering. They were very accommodating. It was a great venue for our gathering.

Nachos and quesadillas were great. Menu items are a bit pricey here but that's probably to be expected considering it's on the ground floor attached to a Marriott. Beer was also a bit expensive but the selection was fairly decent. I was able to find a good beer that was reasonably priced. Unfortunately the burger was very expensive and tasted like a frozen Bubba Burger. Would probably not be back for food, but for just grabbing drinks near the convention center it wasn't bad.

Get the grilled fish sandwich! Staff was super helpful and friendly with suggestions. A chef even came out when we has questions and gave us a print out of the ingredients needed. There are other restuarants at this hotel that serve similar food, but High Velocity surpassed them in taste.

Here's the thing. I was more hungry than anything, and to be honest the food was whatever. I got a burger and a chicken noodle soup. Burger was average and the soup was decent. That's not why I gave this 5 stars though. I sat at the bar with the two people I was dining with and I had the honor of having Steve as my bartender. HE WAS AWESOME. Incredibly knowledgeable about drinks and recommendations which any good bartender should but he had a personality that was more than I ever could have asked for. If I were to open a bar that's the guy I would want running the show. If you EVER have the chance to pop in there for a drink, have him whip you up something and just chat with him. Super awesome, great to get to know, incredibly funny and situationally intelligent. I had him whip me up a custom version of their Moscow Mule and I ordered another just to sit there and chat longer. Do what I did, go for a random reason and stay for the Steve. If you don't sit at the bar while he's working you're really dropping the ball. Cheers!
