Boxcar Tavern

Voted Favorite Neighborhood Spot for a reason. This is a great place to chill and drink away the pressures of life. The atmosphere is like a pub with the beautiful hardwood floors and bar. Plenty of outdoor seating. The bartenders are so engaging and management takes pride in making sure your experience is enjoyable. Boxcar is a great spot to meet good ppl and have a great time. Whether it’s before a game or after work come in have a beer, a cocktail or a shot and leave feeling good. Kitchen is willing to accommodate some custom orders.

Good spot to stop in for lunch. We wanted bar food to cure/feed our hangover. They didn’t seem that busy when we walked in and yet we read the reviews online and chose to go. The nacho appetizers were okay. The chips were really crunchy (which is a great thing) and yet the toppings were just placed on in sections and not really cohesive. The Bloody Mary drink was too spicy and I couldn’t drink it. The chicken tortilla soup was really tasty and seasoned perfectly. Our burger was okay cooked well and the fries were crispy. The bar and staff were very friendly and it seemed like a well-maintained place. You should give it a shot.

We ended up at this restaurant waiting to get into the urgent care next door for my daughter. We were traveling on vacation, so not very familiar with the area. The staff were going to let us use the table as long as they didn’t fill up. We ended up getting dinner and drinks, since we knew we had a long wait. The food was nice and very affordable. The service was outstanding and the atmosphere outside was lovely. They continued to bring my mom water without her requesting it, while she waited for us to finish our appointment. Wonderfully kind staff.
