This NY gal LOVES wings, okay? And Stan's rival any I had in Buffalo! But, the RIBS.... drooling and can't wait until I can have them again. Drinks are STRONG, IYKYK, and if you don't, GO. Cons- It's downstairs, and I've been twice and not seen another entrance, so it's less accessible than we'd like.

Reviews are on point. Definitely a local’s spot, but very welcoming. My friend and I sat at the bar and got great service and heavy pour drinks. I had the BBQ chicken sandwich and he had the shrimp pasta. 100% worth the charged prices. I saw someone nearby with the fried wings and they’re MASSIVE. Definitely getting them next time for sure. Excited to visit DC again and return.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Stan's DC, and I must say, the experience was outstanding. Becca, our server, went above and beyond to make our evening exceptional. Her attentive service and friendly demeanor truly enhanced our dining experience. The ambiance at Stan's DC was delightful, creating the perfect backdrop for a memorable meal. The menu offered a diverse range of delectable options, each dish impeccably prepared and bursting with flavor. From start to finish, Stan's DC, with Becca's exceptional service, exceeded my expectations, and I look forward to returning soon. Highly recommended for a delightful dining experience!

Looking for a quiet little place for an intimate date? Looking for inexpensive watered-down drinks? Well, look elsewhere. I went here on a Wednesday night, and the place was hopping. The after work crowd was here in full swing, and I had difficulty hearing the waiter over the din. Despite that, the atmosphere was infectious. I had originally planned on ordering a beer, but when the waiter explained they were known for the strong cocktails I thought, what the heck and ordered a Kentucky Mule with Makers Mark. It ended up being a $20 cocktail, but it was worth the cost. The drink was well made and included plenty of alcohol. I would not recommend one of their cocktails if you need to drive. But being in downtown DC, they are within walking distance of dozens of hotels. For dinner, I had a burger, which was a pretty standard burger. The patty was hand formed, however, and the meat was high quality. It was extra to add cheese or other fixings (lettuce and tomato were included), but a $15 burger in downtown DC is more than reasonable. I would highly recommend giving this place a shot the next time you find yourself downtown in the US Capital.

I am a Memphis native. It hurts me and thrills me to say this. I have NEVER had BBQ RIBS better than Stan’s. I’ve had them twice now to make sure they can replicate the ribs I had the first time. The beans and slaw are run of the mill Memphis style even though they, I think, say they are St. Louis style. Fabulous place, wonderful atmosphere for family in the dining room and an EXCELLENT bar area. When I’m Washington, eat here.

This was my first time, and I'll definitely be back. The chicken wings were awesome, but the drinks were even better. I asked for tequila and pineapple juice. I received a glass of tequila and a glass of pineapple juice! Service atmosphere and prices were great. Check them out and get the mumbo sauce with your chicken!!!

Casual basement bar and grill in downtown DC. I stopped here at the end of the workday with colleagues while in town for my union. I wasn't in for a drink but I did get wings and a grilled sandwich. The signature mumbo sauce was ok, a little sweet. The sandwich really hit a vibe for me. When I'm in town again I'd go back for that. We went on a Thursday afternoon and it wasn't too busy yet. Service was a little slow, but solid and straightforward.

This place is absolutely amazing. The food was so fresh and delicious. I could literally devour everything on the table. I recommend the chicken strips and the catfish nuggets. The drinks were also well poured and the bar tenders were great. The service was on point, friendly, and attentive. They even helped my grandmother with the elevator and created an accessible experience for the entire table and restaurant in general. Everyone was is a good mood and the food was amazing. Highly recommend!
