I found myself with an unexpected night free in the DC Navy Yard. I asked a local friend for suggestions on somewhere to go for a light dinner because I had ate lunch too late during my travels to be as hungry as usual come dinner time. I walked thru a picturesque neighborhood to agua 301 on a friend’s recommendation. The food I got was so delicious I felt bad I wasn’t hungry enough to order more. The staff were some of the friendliest I have ever met and they brought so much joy to my night. They went above and beyond with their hospitality and I will definitely not hesitate to return when I am next in the area.

Very pleasantly surprised by the service, food, and casual ambience down by the Navy Yard waterfront provided by Agua 301. All at a reasonable price. Our server was quick and attentive, fast to bring out the next round of drinks or chips. Our food also came out pretty quick and was very good. Fajitas were sizzling, chipotle shrimp was highly recommended and was a winner, and the Beef short rib was also an unexpected savory mexican twist on a great dish. Frozen margaritas came in a few flavors. Only disappointment was they were out of Mexican lager on draft, but I won’t let that stop this from being a 5-star experience.
