Great service and food. The calamari and jalapeño appetizer was ok but not spectacular. It was served with some sort of citrus dipping sauce. The vegetable tempura entree and the stir fried eggplant with chicken were excellent.

I'm from Texas. This was one restaurant we tried that was really good. I'd definitely consider a safe go to when visiting DC. I found other places to be overly spicy and lacking flavor. That was not the case at Spices. Yum!
I ordered the kimchi dumplings, tofu fries, and maki. The tofu fries are great. Definitely will go back for them. The dumplings were tasty too. The sushi (veggie) is good but wasn't fresh. I did go right before they close, so that could have been it. Would NOT eat their sushi again but will go back

I love the tofu fries and the laksa here. Just not a fan of plain green beans in the laksa, but the soup was delicious and very spacious compared to how it looks outside
