What a fun place to hang out! Everything was wonderful! The drinks, food, service and atmosphere were perfect! I loved the large amount of vegetarian options. The mulled cider with spiced rum was yummy! I can tell locals hang out there frequently. Our waiter was fun and he told us they do brunch on
This is really a 4.5. Love that you don't need a reservation at this restaurant. This place has excellent options with classic homie Filipino cuisine. The service is fantastic as well. In general, each dish was very good. The lumpia was perfectly fried, crispy, and thin. Accompanied by two sauces.
This place was fantastic from the start. The waiter and waitress we had were very personable and on the ball. They explained the menu, and came back repeatedly to take orders and clean the table. The meal and drinks came within the 10 minutes we ordered them which was a surprise because the quality
Overall 4.5. I enjoyed most of what we ordered! No reservation was needed and we were seated in about 30 minutes. For appetizer, we had Mama Alice's lumpia, which was tasty enough. Not sure I'd highly recommend it though. For entrees, I personally had the spicy adobo fried chicken. It was delicious
at long last, i finally got to try purple patch! went with a friend and we shared a few appetizers & the side of waffles and ube ice cream. it was a beautiful day so we dined outdoors. service was friendly, upbeat, and quick. beautiful presentation of food. you can tell that they're really proud of
If you're looking at the building, restaurant is down a set of stairs on the right, under the Purple Patch sign. Arrived when restaurant opened and noticed employees throughly cleaning the restaurant. Plenty of outdoor shaded seating with a pleasant breeze. Greeted immediately and taken to our ta
Excellent Filipino food for a great price! I really enjoyed the Lechon Kiwali & Sizzling Sisig. Both were very flavorful! The Fried Red Snapper was decent. Friendly staff and great atmosphere.
This was my first time having Filipino food…did not disappoint in the slightest🔥the owner and staff are extremely caring and accommodating. Our party had some food restrictions (I am a pescatarian and a friend has a gluten free diet), but there was still a wide variety of options for us to choose fr
We ate at Purple Patch, a well know Filipino-American restaurant in DC. The Chef and Owner, Patrice Cleary, was so kind to us. She came and inspired us with her story of her plight for Filipino-American representation and her passion to uplift our culture and make Filipino food inclusive. She was al
We went on a Sunday and my party loved the vibes and food. I however, would advise against ordering the bistec. The flavors were good, and it reminded me of Salisbury steak. The beef was cooked way beyond well done after I asked for medium rare. I honestly should have said something but it had alrea
Purple Patch in Washington DC is a culinary treasure that artfully blends Filipino and American flavors to create a mouthwatering symphony. The food journey here was nothing short of extraordinary. The appetizer, featuring CALAMANSI CHICKEN SKEWERS and MISO CAESAR SALAD, redefined the familiar with
food is good, not outstanding. I wish the sisig was a bit more authentic, it was missing the hint of iron from liver and acid from coconut vinegar or calamansi that is usually sprayed on. just kinda bland compared to other sisigs I’ve had elsewhere, just pork forward, aromatics didn’t hit. the take
The Ube Cheese Pandesal was the highlight of our meal. It was really good! Fried Calamansi Wings are good as well. They marinated it so well that the meat is very tasty. It would be better if it was like Korean fried chicken (crispy outside), but the flavor is still the same. Brunch Calamansi Tokw
Our evening at The Purple Patch was a incredible experience, and a big part of that credit goes to our server, Scott. The restaurant's warmth, music and creative Filipino-American menu prepared us for a great night. The friendly guidance through the menu showcased his knowledge, as he toured us thr
I do not give five star review too often. I reserve it for places that truly hit the target. Purple Patch is one of them. Ambiance, service, food....all excellent. Purple Patch is cozy yet spacious. Service is prompt, courteous, not intrusive and fast. Food is EXCELLENT! Everything was prepared fres
I was so happy when I saw that there’s a Filipino restaurant in DC! Purple patch is the best Filipino restaurant I’ve gone to by far. Their menu is so unique while still sticking with the Filipino culture. They’re not your typical Filipino restaurant, I highly recommend!!!
This is a great place. My plate was a rice with crab, it was very good! Sadly I found the portion small/medium and generally the entrees are a little pricey for the area. Definitely, all the plates have different size portions. Indoor and outdoor seating. Super cute purple decoration.
I recently went to Purple Patch for my close friend’s birthday. He chose this place from previous recommendations given by his family. I look at the food prior to coming, but I had low expectations. After dining there I can honestly say that my expectations are blown out of the water. Our server Ky
Wow!!! What a delicious dinner. First time at the Purple Patch and certainly won’t be my last. Exceeded my expectations, for sure (and came highly recommended!). As a vegetarian, I was glad to see there were countless options for me to choose from. A friend and I ended up sharing the ube cheese pand
