The Parthenon Restaurant - Washington DC - Photo album

A quiet and pleasant atmosphere. I liked the spiciness of the food and the wide choice of dishes. It was a good experience.
Parthenon is a hidden Gem! I ordered the Lamb Chops and the Eggplant dip. I can attest as a lamb connoisseur, the quality of these lamb chops are high end. Leave it to Greeks to cook lamb to perfection! Truly tastes like the lamb chops I had in Greece. It’s seasoned perfectly. And the eggplant dip w
Nice place to get a good meal in a good atmosphere when visiting the Zoo. Away from the hectic atmosphere next to the Zoo but conveniently close by. NOTE: I save 5-stars for truly the best. My not giving 5-stars should not be taken to reflect negatively on this establishment. If you 5-stars on my re
Fantastic place!! Amazing food and great service! Everyone was so nice and attentive. They paid attention to details and made our kids feel welcome. Prices are very reasonable. If you are in the area, give it a try. You will not regret it👍👍👍
I was visiting Washington a few weeks ago and ate the Parthenon. We were seated outside on a covered patio on a nice cool evening. For appetizers we the Saganaki Flambe and the Manitaria Gemista (mushroom stuffed with crab). Both were delicious. In addition, we had three shots of Ouzo to celebrate o
Fantastic gyros and delicious, tender, perfectly cooked lamb! Fairly inexpensive unless you're going for the most expensive items like lamb chops. Very interesting Greek coffee. Overall great Greek place with lots of choices.
My favorite place for authentic Greek food. We stopped for lunch and had the pastitsio and Greek salad with shrimp. Excellent as always!
A remarkably friendly venue, staff welcoming and helpful. Ambiance simply sharp, comfortable and down to earth and the food superb. Next trip to Washington DC, we'll be back 😇 LCA
The food is consistent quality through the years. Service needs more work. I recognize Saturday nights are busy. However, waiters are the "face" of any restaurant. They should at least introduce themselves and offer suggestions. Our waiter was expedient but he was neither informative or personable.
This is a long standing Greek restaurant. The food quality is good and the staff are friendly and helpful. The adjoining bar is a popular spot. In warm weather the patio is a great spot to dine. Lonegivity isn't always a sign of quality but in this case it is. *2020 update. It had been too long sin
Very good food and even better ambiance. Outdoor seating improves the ambiance even more. Pictures on the menu would help an uninitiate like myself.
Nice and intimate with amazing Greek food. Also, a huge surprise is the crab cake. Honestly, some of the best I have ever tasted... and a long-time Maryland resident.
The Parthenon is a justly beloved traditional Greek restaurant in DC. Enjoying a meal on the Parthenon’s attractive outdoor patio is a rite of spring and rightly so. Portions are generous and service friendly. Some restaurants never seem to change and the Parthenon is one of them. That’s the point.
We were looking for something local in or near Chevy Chase with good quality food and outdoor seating. My family is from Illinois, and we love enjoying Greek food in authentic Greek family restaurants in the Greektown neighborhood in Chicago. Parthenon was every bit as good as the best I've had any
Straightforward and delicious Greek food. A DC gem that rightfully doesn't care about how insta worthy its decor is. the food is really good!
Absolutely had a wonderful time today... the drinks were awesome, appetizers on point and the entrees, yummy... Thxs Jeff for your guidance thru the menu...
