I had a very pleasant experience here. I stumbled in the Melrose because of the heavy rainfall and there was a beautiful and well organized bar calling out to me. I couldn’t help but take a seat at the counter and order an Old Fashioned while watching the US Open semifinals. The amazing bartender served me the most delicious Old Fashioned beverage I have ever had. To top things off, she used a classical large ice cube so that it would not overwater the drink down. She meticulously prepped the garnish and even gently burned a star anise spice to elevate the flavours. Last but not least, she included this delicious alcoholic cherry that gave this Old Fashioned drink a 3 dimensional experience. I highly recommend this bar and bartender!

The service was nice. Didn't know the restaurant existed until I saw 2 people sitting at the table.. my fault for not doing proper research. Both bartenders were great each night. I went to the bar. I enjoyed the double shots of greygoose and cranberry alongside the yummy lambchops(cooked medium) pureed sweet potatoes and vegetables everything cooked to absolute perfection. For breakfast, I had the crab egg Benedict. The manager Carlos was an awesome down to earth host going to each customer, making sure everyone was fine . He was pleasant to talk to. I have been to several restaurants in D.C., probably the first time I was personally greeted by the manager . Thanks for the pleasant memories..

My wife & I stayed at the Melrose Georgetown. We have had both dinner & breakfast at Jardenea. The meals were delicious and ample. Reasonably priced for DC.

Great dinner with killer roasted brussel sprouts! Among the group we had the fillet, the salmon, and the sea bass. Everything was wonderful. The service was outstanding and the atmosphere was cozy. A great place for exceptional food and service where you can have a great dinner conversation and hear across the table.

We had dinner at Jardenea for Christmas Eve this year and it was a fantastic experience. Even if the food had been substandard (it wasn't) the experience would have rated 5 stars anyway because the service was way above par. I think for our group of 7, we nearly had a server for each of us! The food was excellent and the wine that was suggested to pair with my meal was spot on. We had a great time and if we come back to DC again, we will be sure to visit again. Highly recommended!

This place has a great happy hour special from 5-7, $7 drinks and snacks, and a very reasonably priced full plates menu. The crab cake they have right now is on point. The menu is local and seasonal, so check back often to see what tasty offerings are on the menu.

Very delicious! The food is all fresh and farm-to-fork. They are fairly new, but give a very good fine-dining experience. Their quail and the beef filet were amazing! My brother-in-law picked it as a place to propose, and it was perfect!

Bar area offers HH 5-7pm everyday of the week with some great $7 cocktails. Pre-theater menu (before 7pm) is a great deal with 3 courses for $44. Food, service, and ambiance were all very good! Great spot for a nice meal with friends or date night.

Beautiful hotel, lovely dining room, Derrick was an excellent waiter, the food was only ok. They were very aware of food intolerances which was great. Great farm to table concept, fair execution. With the proximity to the Kennedy center, I wish it was better.

We happened upon Jardenea by chance, looking for a restaurant that was open New Years Day evening. Chance was on our side in finding Jardenea! The atmosphere was elegant, the service fantastic and food delicious! Everyone in our party loved every dish, from cocktails to dessert and everything in between. With exceptional rave reviews on the filet (on of the best filets I've ever eaten in regards to flavor, portion, tenderness and cook). Adding to the experience was the attentive, friendly and high class service. After a great day of sightseeing we all agreed the meal at Jardenea was the highlight of our trip. I would highly recommend Jardenea for a relaxing delicious upscale meal!

I wish I could give Jardenea 4.5 stars, but I can't. The only negatives I can think of are the location (inside the Melrose hotel) and the prices. I went to Restaurant week dinner and everything we tasted was delicious. I had the kale salad which I couldn't stop eating. The marcona almonds, the parm, the bacon, and the gorgeous kale leaves had the perfect crunch and texture. I could go on and on, but I wouldn't get to the other dishes we had. My mom had the beet salad, which she raved about. I had the salmon while she had the sea bass. Both dishes were amazing. While I normally think of salmon as a light dish, the leek soup accompaniment made this rich and delicious. If you come back during the summer, I would definitely encourage you to try the tomato salad as it looks amazing. Jardenea also has a pre-theatre menu from 5-7 which is worth checking out. Overall, this is a great place, parking was easy to find and it is a few blocks from the metro.

Beautiful hotel and great location. Good place to go for pre-theater fixed menu if you’re headed to the Kennedy center afterward. I went here with a picky eater and the kitchen and staff were helpful to accommodate her needs.
