Great place to eat definitely! My family and I was visiting from Jersey and we looked this place up. It's hours are great and whole vibe! We sat outside at a table for some fresh air because the weather was so nice out. We had shrimp and chicken fettuccine, kids had hotdogs and for all of us we had buffalo wings as appetizers. The sauce with the wings is amazing and very tasty. The pasta was amazing also and nice big portion size. Prices were great. Our waiter was awesome and checked on us often. We just really loved this place and definitely go back to eat there.

Seated at the counter immediately (it's first come first serve), even though they were very busy due to some local University graduations. My server was nice, and made sure my order was placed and delivered quickly. She had a lot of people to take care of, so I had to rely on some of the other employees behind the counter to get water and coffee refills, but they were all very kind and helpful. The food was excellent and exactly what I was expecting for a diner in the city. I highly recommend Diner DC to anyone who enjoys the classic open kitchen, open 24/7 diner

Was in D.C. for an overnight stay and found this place on yelp. With all the good reviews I had high expectations and they lives up to them. I order the chicken biscuit with bacon, egg and honey butter and was delicious and super cheap. I will definitely be coming back.

My family and I were visiting from Greenville SC. We met up with my niece and her family who live in MD. There were 10 of us and the service was excellent!! I had the chicken and French toast. The chicken was cruncy, moist, and very flavorful. The portion was awesome, my leftovers served as lunch the next day I would highly recommend The Diner for anyone looking for great food, a pleasant environment, and awesome seevice. I'll definitely return during my next trip to DC!!

Lively old school diner. The pancakes, the French toast, the fresh fruit, the scrambled eggs - all very good. The decor is faded, but charming & can't help but make you feel at home. The waitperson was friendly, helpful & efficient. Noisy but we didn't care, we were enjoying our food & the eclectic mix of patrons.

We visited DC for a family vacation and the hotel concierge recommended The Diner as a great brunch spot to eat. He was RIGHT! Not only was the food amazing, but our waitress, Nicole had customer service that was above and beyond! We didn't plan on visiting any restaurant twice while here, but we'll definitely try to come back before we leave.

Took a nice walk and drove around the capitol this morning. After developing an appetite, I began my weekend breakfast hunt. Found this spot on Google maps, I desired some biscuits and gravy this morning. Great service, Wilfredo was courteous and considerate, made sure that the food was delivered to the table in a timely manner, and would routinely follow up with the table. In addition, I brought someone off the streets to purchase some food for them, and he was not judgmental. He was compassionate to the needs of the person, and you could see he was sincere in consideration of the person's welfare. The ambience provides comfortable setting arrangements, a clean restroom, and the entire staff is kind.

Do you ever eat somewhere and think about the food you ate for hours, days, months, years, like a long lost lover?? The milkshake from the DINER is that long lost lover for me. I had the peanut butter milkshake, emphasis on the peanut butter. It brought me back to my childhood (in a good way). It cured my depression. Angels sung when it touched my tongue. I am pretty sure I had a religious experience in that diner, sipping that milkshake at 11:30pm. The food was excellent too!! We had breakfast so I can't speak to lunch or dinner stuff, but I'd confidently order anything from here. Everything was perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned, overall 1000000/10 meal. Service was excellent and I loved the environment too. Definitely go here if you want breakfast, vibes, and a transcendental milkshake experience.

Smothered steak, French toast and burger upon arrival at DC. We were checking out a trendy side of town and got hungry. This place delivered and unexpectedly good food! All while getting an ice cold alcohol libation!

Very affordable diner food! We came here for breakfast and usually we (2 people) like to order different things so we can try more options, but both ended up getting the diner royale and it was very worth it. It was delicious and we couldn’t even finish our food. Lots of seating available, highly recommend!

I loved the atmosphere at this establishment. I felt at home by eating here. It gives off the old neighborhood vibe. It's called the Diner and you do feel like you're eating at an old school diner. The staff are pleasant and the breakfast food is pretty good. I sure wish I could eat the French toast again. That was my favorite. The breakfast potatoes were pretty good too - they came out nice and hot. If you are in Adams Morgan and want to find a casual breakfast spot, then this is the place. The prices are reasonable too. I ate and listened to lively music.

I really like this place. Staff are really nice though sometimes it can be confusing. Wish the fries were a little better. Had a chicken sandwich and garden salad and was blown away by how good it was, fries aside.

Ok breakfast food. Loved the concept of local ingredients though! Nothing taste-wise stood out this visit but it was all good and we would be willing to try other items as the sandwiches next to us looked amazing! Great local spot for a quick bite, prices pretty average. Atmosphere relaxed.

Charlie was a great server, very polite, accommodating, and attentive. He truly went the extra mile for us. We originally came in because it was the only spot offering food after 10p on a Saturday, and I'm so grateful we did because the food was delicious. Typical diner vibe and is open 24 hrs 3 days out of the week. Highly considering returning for Sunday brunch

Loved the food, the service, and the hours...woke up at 3am and decided to venture out for food. Was so glad the diner is open 24 hours and I had a great burger. I know that's a weird breakfast, but was recovering from wisdom tooth extraction and craving some hearty protein. Highly recommend this place

Conference "breakfast" was a lame carb-fest, so I needed an honest-to-God bacon and eggs place, and the DINER delivered. Basic breakfast platter, but everything was cooked to perfection- eggs exactly as I specified, bacon neither too limp nor crispy, home fries neither raw nor burnt, great pancakes. Attentive service. Would definitely come back if I'm this way again.

Had some late night food after arriving in DC. This was my second time here and the first time was almost over 5 years ago. I remembered that the burger was good, but the first time I was there... I was totally hungover and didn't enjoy it! This time I was fresh off the plane and wanted to satisfy my hunger. Oh did that burger satisfy it!!! Had a side Cesar salad and the dressing was homemade and great tasting. Don't expect it to be a normal mom and pops diner when going there after 11. The cities underground character will be present and you can witness pretty odd things happening. But that's how life is and that's what makes these places memorable. For a great bite to start the night, or for something to push all that booze down, this is a great place to be.
