The Diner - Washington DC - Photo album

Lively old school diner. The pancakes, the French toast, the fresh fruit, the scrambled eggs - all very good. The decor is faded, but charming & can't help but make you feel at home. The waitperson was friendly, helpful & efficient. Noisy but we didn't care, we were enjoying our food & the eclec
Delicious food that was different from the standard fare. Loved the Banana Bread French Toast & the Fried Chicken and French Toast. Sooo good! Will definitely return when we're in the area.
We visited DC for a family vacation and the hotel concierge recommended The Diner as a great brunch spot to eat. He was RIGHT! Not only was the food amazing, but our waitress, Nicole had customer service that was above and beyond! We didn't plan on visiting any restaurant twice while here, but we'
Took a nice walk and drove around the capitol this morning. After developing an appetite, I began my weekend breakfast hunt. Found this spot on Google maps, I desired some biscuits and gravy this morning. Great service, Wilfredo was courteous and considerate, made sure that the food was delivered to
Do you ever eat somewhere and think about the food you ate for hours, days, months, years, like a long lost lover?? The milkshake from the DINER is that long lost lover for me. I had the peanut butter milkshake, emphasis on the peanut butter. It brought me back to my childhood (in a good way). It cu
Smothered steak, French toast and burger upon arrival at DC. We were checking out a trendy side of town and got hungry. This place delivered and unexpectedly good food! All while getting an ice cold alcohol libation!
Very affordable diner food! We came here for breakfast and usually we (2 people) like to order different things so we can try more options, but both ended up getting the diner royale and it was very worth it. It was delicious and we couldn’t even finish our food. Lots of seating available, highly re
I loved the atmosphere at this establishment. I felt at home by eating here. It gives off the old neighborhood vibe. It's called the Diner and you do feel like you're eating at an old school diner. The staff are pleasant and the breakfast food is pretty good. I sure wish I could eat the French toast
I really like this place. Staff are really nice though sometimes it can be confusing. Wish the fries were a little better. Had a chicken sandwich and garden salad and was blown away by how good it was, fries aside.
Ok breakfast food. Loved the concept of local ingredients though! Nothing taste-wise stood out this visit but it was all good and we would be willing to try other items as the sandwiches next to us looked amazing! Great local spot for a quick bite, prices pretty average. Atmosphere relaxed.
Charlie was a great server, very polite, accommodating, and attentive. He truly went the extra mile for us. We originally came in because it was the only spot offering food after 10p on a Saturday, and I'm so grateful we did because the food was delicious. Typical diner vibe and is open 24 hrs 3 day
Great spot. Food was awesome. Absolutely recommend the steak and eggs. Wait staff was exceptional.
Loved the food, the service, and the hours...woke up at 3am and decided to venture out for food. Was so glad the diner is open 24 hours and I had a great burger. I know that's a weird breakfast, but was recovering from wisdom tooth extraction and craving some hearty protein. Highly recommend this pl
This was amazing food! So much portion for the price and wonderful staff! This is the place to eat lunch and breakfast ANYTIME! ❤️☀️
Conference "breakfast" was a lame carb-fest, so I needed an honest-to-God bacon and eggs place, and the DINER delivered. Basic breakfast platter, but everything was cooked to perfection- eggs exactly as I specified, bacon neither too limp nor crispy, home fries neither raw nor burnt, great pancakes
Great traditional diner with a subtle modern take. Love the food and staff, prices are reasonable. I can see this place being a regular stop for me!
Loved the banana bread French Toast! (And our service was great!)
Had some late night food after arriving in DC. This was my second time here and the first time was almost over 5 years ago. I remembered that the burger was good, but the first time I was there... I was totally hungover and didn't enjoy it! This time I was fresh off the plane and wanted to satisfy m
