The Pig - Washington DC - Photo album

One of My favorite BBQ restaurants in DC. I visited this place several times and really had a great experience. This place could get pretty busy during the weekend dinner service, so I would definitely recommend making a reservation ahead of time. Inside of the restaurant was relatively clean and ha
Looking for an interesting place to eat, bumped across this restaurant. With a name of The Pig how could I not try it out? 😀 It wasn't too full when we first arrived there, around 6:30pm on a Saturday night, but it got much busier and louder by the time we left. Started off with some wine and a Sh
I really enjoyed dining at the pig during my last trip to DC, the staff was nice and courteous, the food was delicious, with locally sourced ingredients and prepared with love and care. The restaurant is cozy and intimate. We did however have two problems. First, we ordered two sides that never made
One of my favourite places to eat in DC. No one makes pork like they do here. Highly recommend the face bacon as a starter- ridiculously rich, tender, and flavourful following either a generous roasting or braising and with a perfect crust on the outside from fry afterwards. Best to also get a sala
I really like The Pig. I’ve been 3 times (once pre-COVID-19 Pandemic and twice in the Pandemic) and have consistently enjoyed my experience. At its core, The Pig is a barbecue joint. It does offer some upscale and fancier items, which I like. The hi-low effect is well done at The Pig. The dining ro
Fantastic little place with a bit of something for everyone. Ambience and decor is top notch, food is American and a bit eclectic. Beef, chicken, and veg options for those who don’t love pork. Food was prepared and presented amazingly well, our family (incl two kids) were all impressed.
Okay, here me out. If you or your partner haven’t eaten anything since breakfast and HAS been walking around DC ALL day and you’re looking for some food to eat? I’d recommend the Pig! My boyfriend and I have made a list of food places to go before going on our trip and so we can just pick and go.Th
I guess I'd call this place upscale BBQ. There's a medium sized dining room and a big bar. They have a huge bourbon and whiskey selection. We sat at the bar, and Mallory was super nice and gave us top notch service. We had the smoked ribs platter, and the smoked brisket platter. Both were delicious.
Food: Everything I had here was packed with flavor. The face bacon is definitely worth trying. Kinda like an unctuous pork chop. Sausage sampler was homemade and paired with sauces well. Pork chop was on the bone (flavor!) and grilled just right leaving a hint of lingering smoke. Sauce on it was mem
A wonderful BBQ place that filled my BBQ craving. We had the chicken wings to start, they were crispy and the hot sauce was a perfect balance between spicy and flavor. For mains, I got their famous pork/beef mix burger, which was a special of the night. They burger was cooked perfect medium rare and
What a great place to eat if you enjoy pork I'd highly recommend trying this place. I had the grilled pork chop and it was phenomenal even the puree on the plate was tasty. The cheesecake was also great. I'd definitely go back in my next DC trip.
Couldn't get a reservation so decided to take a chance at the bar. Had no problem getting stools for our party of three. The bartender was attentive and had a good handle on both the cocktail and food menu. We ordered the pork bun appetizer, she offered to increase the serving to three buns so we co
Corn bread was freshly made along with the blueberry preserves and butter. The thick cut bacon wasn't really bacon- it would qualify as a thin pork chop. I had the pulled pork with fries- very generous serving. He had the burger with bacon and greens. The food was pretty good. Service was good as we
There was about a half hour wait to get a table on a Wednesday. But that is understandable, given the service and quality of food. The service was top notch, for a good restaurant. The server, Dora, really made us feel like royalty. She was friendly, knowledgeable about the menu and after we had ea
The food here was amazing...we had a lil but if everything. They could use more variety in the drinks menu but not a big deal. 2 must haves, the sticky wings and the cornbread!!! The cornbread is by far the best I've ever tasted!!!!
Our brunch was delicious and there are some many delicious choices. It depends on what you like but everything we had was interesting and tasty. Very nice service, attentive and he made sure that I don’t have to worry a out my food allergies! Noise level good for conversation.
I've always wanted to try the Pig, and finally had the chance and came for Happy Hour. The lighting is a little dimmed, and there are several stools at the bar, but it's not a huge bar, so it's best to come early if you want to enjoy their Happy Hour. Ordered the Burnt End Sliders, Grilled Corn, and
We visited in December. The restaurant has a diverse group of customers. It was not that big of a place but big enough to seat several tables and not too crowded. Music was playing but not too loud. There are coat hooks near the door which is nice. The place has low lighting and cool decor which we
Giving this restaurant a take out review! I visited from NYC and was craving for some good ol’ beef brisket. Checked google maps and BOOM! found The Pig. I couldn’t say much about the interior of the restaurant but my take out food was majestic. I ordered the juicy and succulent brisket that comes
