Cedar has something for every palate and every dietary leaning. I first went there with a large group that had meat eaters, vegans, and others somewhere in the middle. Every single person in our party was extremely pleased with their meal!! The atmosphere is warm and cozy, the prices are very good for the creativity and quality of the dishes. Our party was impressed with the drink/wine menu as well. It has quickly become my new favorite place in DC!! You will not be disappointed!
Wild boar was great, prices reasonable, and they made every accommodation for my gluten allergy. I was also very pleasantly surprised to find an Elizabeth Spencer cabernet on their wine list!
My host and server this evening were fantastic! I had the chicken entree, which was everything it was described as and more. I loved the atmosphere and ambiance. My cocktail was awesome as well. I would suggest checking this place out of you're in the area and really hungry!
Had a fabulous pre-show meal here last night. From the warm greeting from the host to our fantastic waitress to the incredible food, it was an impressive experience. Highly recommend this restaurant.
DC Noble has excellent food, perfect location, and the wait staff was very friendly! How this place isn't more popular is beyond me. The mussels dish was a far larger portion than we were expecting and had great flavor. Steak was seasoned and cooked just right, the duck breast was extremely tender. And lastly, their pastry dessert was unreal.
This place was great! Our server had only been there for like a few days and he was amazing! Super engaging! I wish I remembered his name. The food is delicious! I would definitely visit them again. This place is on E Street. There are parking garages all around for parking and lastly, there is an axe throwing place about two doors down from them.
Great restaurant with excellent food. We had a happy hour event there and got to meet the owner and she was lovely. Very hospitable and accomodating for pur event. Staff was super friendly and attentive. We had some amazing cheesecake bites, ribeye skewers, apple tarts, the fries were delicious and all the other food was great. I highly recommend and will definitely be back.
Outstanding food. Hidden gem. The chef is outstanding. Please try this great little restaurant - local business opening up during a tough time. The menus is excellent and the food is on point every time. Please visit.

Absolutely LOVE this place! Wonderful new addition to the Penn Quarter neighborhood. We have been several times, whether it be just for drinks, to catch a game, brunch, or dinner. Every single time it has been excellent. It's nice to break away from the 'chain' restaurants and go to something unique. The chef is absolutely amazing. I cannot speak highly enough of the Coconut Curry Lobster Bisque. We've had it multiple times, and it's a personal favorite. We have also tried the Garden Panino, a friend has tried the Ham and Cheese Panino, the Spinach Risotto Saffron Bites, Artichoke Cream Cheese Dip, Cesar Salad, and for brunch we have had several items. From pancakes, to the "woods" mushroom omelette, to the Scrambled Eggs in Puff Pastry... it's all been fantastic. The drinks also speak for themselves. A nice menu with their own twist on classic cocktails, quality wine, a good beer selection and an especially nice Virginia cider. We also thoroughly enjoy the wonderful staff - Mike, Steve, Keith and the lovely owner - who have all treated us like family since the first time we visited. Oh & I cant forget the Crème brûlée!!!
The menu is diverse and exciting.
You will not be disappointed - the food and atmosphere are truly out of this world.

My wife and I got off work late Friday night and were looking for a nice, quiet place to grab dinner after a long work week. We have recently moved back into the Penn Quarter area of the DMV and noticed a restaurant we used to go to, Seder, was no longer there but replaced with The DC Noble. As the menu placed in the window looked to have several items we were interested in, we decided to give it a try. We walked in are was greeted by Mike, the bartender. There was a couple sitting at one of the two tables at the bar, and that was it. As it was 6pm on a Friday (with a Caps game on several of the TV’s), we were seated at a table close to the bar and Mike provided us with the menu and began asking what out drink preference might be. After a brief discussion regarding the Bourbon selection at the bar, Mike asked if we would be interested in a drink he had been working on called “Totty’s got a cold” which was described as a lemon hinted fusion of a take on an old fashion infused with what could be described as a chilled Hot Totty. It was delicious. Having had many an Old Fashion and Hot Totty drinks, this was a nice twist on an old favorite. Mike went on to describe his take on a Manhattan called a “Mid Town” because of the location of The DC Noble. Let’s just say the night started off well and we haven’t even gotten to the food yet. The restaurant describes themselves as an “American Restaurant · Cocktail Bar · Sports Bar” but there is a subtle yet refined infusion of French fine dining within the dishes (and not just by the name of some of the dishes). We started with the “Mussels Provencal” (see attached photo) and for dinner I had the 12 oz. Grilled Ribeye and added the crab cake while my wife ordered the Braised Pork Cheeks (see more photos). I don’t like eating stuff like cheeks, but the chef changed my mind when I tried my wife’s dish. Both the appetizer and the meals were so delicious, we opted to hold off on finishing the meal to focus on the desserts. Only then did we find out they had an extra bar menu with even more items we wished we could have tried. But we opted to go for the Warm Kourniaman, which was described on the menu as “vanilla gelato, butter and butter (there is nothing wrong with butter)” and Mike informed us the chef handmade this gelato infused pastry like flakey crossest looking tart sized dessert which lasted about 5 seconds after taking the photo.
At the end, in talking with Mike, he indicated they were only in a soft opening because it was just him, the chef and the owner that night. They had opened right before COVID and had to shut down two weeks later. From the kindness and foresight of the landlord, they were able to stay in the space until the are reopened recently. Both the owner and chef ended up coming out to chat with us and made us feel like family. With DC opening up more and more, make sure you plan to get there and if you need to wait…it is well worth it.
My family sat in the outdoor patio section and it was beautiful. I ordered off the brunch menu and loved the Benedict. My husband had the burger and said “it perfectly cooked and the fresh cut fries were excellent.” We both felt the service was attentive and welcoming. We will most definitely be coming back.
Wonderful place to chill and socialize! The Happy Hour food is great and there’s an array of choices of drinks to choose from! Need a good after work spot to chill??!!! Look no further than here! They have a DJ on Thursdays as well!
Great French American food! A very unique and delicious fried chicken sandwich. Really awesome apps and dessert too. Good portions for price. I’ll be back for one of the mussels dishes.
Great little restaurant! The previous tenant had not been open for over a year so it is nice to have this space occupied in the neighborhood. I had a great cocktail the night I went, it seems like they are still experimenting with exactly what the menu is too, but it was all delicious! The outdoor space on the sidewalk is very nice and they have little lights that come on at night to add to the charm. I wish them all the success moving forward and will definitely be returning in the future.
