Delicious food, yummy cocktails, and kind staff. The Florence Benedict was the only just okay meal that we got. Everything else was stand out! The spinach was a little mushy. The homemade ricotta dish was absolutely worth it! The salmon toast was yummy. My fiance really loved the burger and it's highly loved by many!

Mintwood Place has a very nice community restaurant feel. There is a bar and separate seating for regular diners. The food is consistently good.
On a recent visit I had the burger at the bar. The burger included some perfectly cooked bacon with cheese. The server offered a salad or fries. The only downside to the burger was that it was dry perhaps from the bun. I do not like an over saucy burger, but this one just was not so juicy. Nonetheless, this is a good place to visit for a decent meal in the Adams Morgan area.

The only thing we didn’t like was the CHOCOLATE TART - strawberry bubbles, puffed brown rice, smoked sweet cream. We felt that the smoke cream flavor was too dominant and overtook the flavor of the chocolate.

Excellent stop for us on our short DC trip! Very glad we chose to come here. Excellent service—very friendly! We ordered the arancini—so good, very crunchy, special mention to the arancini sauce—think hummus but much much better! Great green salad, loved the fresh pears and pecans. For my main, got the pappardelle with truffle butter and mushrooms—pretty solid, just hoped it would be more creamy and little less chewy (I’ll give this specifically a 7/10).
Last super special mention: ricotta cheese, I’ve never had better cheese before! That paired with the beets and the bread—so scrumptious!!

I had a solid brunch experience here on Sunday at 1 pm. The brunch special is a nice deal - $26 for an appetizer and entree, with a large drip coffee or juice. A mimosa or Bloody Mary is an additional $6. It's a good ratio of sparkling wine to juice as well. My friends and I all enjoyed our meals - I ordered the fried chicken sandwich and compressed fruit salad (so good, wish it was larger!). The atmosphere was nothing spectacular and indoors it does get rather warm and noisy. They do have a great outdoor setup with extensive seating under tents for shade. My friend who lives in the neighborhood and has been a few times says it's consistently good.

Mintwood has been consistently good since day one. They have a great happy hour at their bar starting at 5:30 with beer and wine specials. Their restaurant week menu was delicious ($35 for 3 courses) and came with enough food to take home as leftovers. Do the Pate, Duck confit, and the Bolognese.

I had great time at this location on the hunt for the top fried chicken sandwich in the DMV. I the ambience inside is subtle and calm. They have plenty of outdoor seat which is nice during the summer. The chicken sandwich was in its own category. I enjoyed it as well as the team.

Chef Matt Cockrell with an amazing menu! We started with an assortment of nibbles that did not disappoint. The stand out was the Charcuterie Board: Selection of Cured Meats & Chicken Liver Mousse also amazing was the White Peach & Balsamic Soup, Goat Cheese, Crouton.
The food was simply fresh and clean, which took American fare to another level. We pretty much tried the whole menu but the real stand outs of the evening were the Branzino, Pearl Couscous, Tomato and the Tagliatelle Bolognese, Pecorino with an honorable mention to the Wood-Grilled, Dry-Aged Bacon Cheeseburger, Fries. But for me the Branzino was the superstar of the show. Light, buttery, and so much flavor, would definitely order that dish again.
Overall the staff was friendly, the atmosphere was lively yet quiet enough to hold a conversation; ideal for a small dinner party or a date night.
This restaurant will definitely be added to our GO TO list whenever we are in the city! Can't wait to try Brunch ....

Went there for Mother's Day brunch. Cute setup and a great menu. Not for a boozy brunch, but certainly a tasty and classy one. Recommend the cheese plate and pork hash. Restaurant also had a lot of nice touches for the occasion including food and drink specials and a small plant as a parting gift to any mothers.

Mintwood Place has an excellent menu packed with interesting items that don’t disappoint. The burger is the real standout and might be DC’s very best. Huge patty with tasty bacon, lots of cheese, and a perfectly fresh bun. Offered on happy hour without fries. Interesting beer selection — several local options and a wider selection of rarer imports.

What's not to like? The personal attention that each guest receives is always the most important part of a pleasant dining experience. Personal attention was exemplary and I'm a humble and ordinary patron. Ambience and decor is casual, putting all diners at ease with respect to dress code. The menu is interesting and my entree selection was exquisitely prepared as was, that of my dining partner. Our waitress was appropriately charming, informative and efficient, lacking the high pressure oversight that can often ruin an experience, but attentive enough to keep us moving things along.
Through no fault of its own, Mintwood Place loses a star from lack of well dampened acoustics. Fill the dining room with a few dozen chatty patrons and you'll get that 'sports bar' on a Monday night game experience.
There's but one protected nook and thankfully, we were privileged to have it.
I'll bet the enthusiastic mood is perfect for brunch as that's the only other sitting. Perfect for those that like a late AM meal.
I'll definitely eye a return visit as the Chef clearly has my gustatory predilections at heart.
The wine list seems well thought out but my wheat beer on tap was a surprising change from the obvious pairings.
In retrospect, I should have selected a wine .
Oh well, there's always the next time.

This is my favorite "special occasion" spot. My husband and I treat ourselves to happy hour to celebrate most anything. It has an excellent bar and great specials. I love the pickled deviled eggs and the burrata and kale. I've never been disappointed!

Been here three times but came last night for Christmas Eve for the first time. It was perfect! They had a duck entree that was to die for in addition to the many fabulous options they normally offer. We were also given free Christmas Crackers and cookies when we were paying, a great way to spend the holiday!

My first time here, and my son's choice for his birthday dinner. We had a reservation and were seated immediately. Some of us were coming from Maryland, so parking was iffy but worked out okay. Our waitress was knowledgeable and helpful, and food came quickly and was quite good. We would go back!

Thank you for our wonderful dinner experience on 4/29/16 celebrating our wedding anniversary with our daughter and her boyfriend who live in DC. We were there from Wisconsin for the weekend and thoroughly enjoyed our food and the wonderful experience thanks to Chris, the Asst General Manager and his very thoughtful attention to our table.
