Had some girl time and enjoyed the warm fall day eating outside. Since November is my birth month, of course there was cake. We had some bumps but the manager handled it beautifully and got us all sorted.
So I was just getting to DC, and of course was starving, somehow I found this little gem. Hostess was super friendly and gave us a table immediately. Drinks, food, I fell in love with the fresh oysters I got. An amazing fig salad and delicious dessert. I want to go back
We were in town to visit a nearby museum and were happy it was close to City Center. We'd been to the area a few times, and wanted a cocktail and nosh or two. Fig and Olive was a place we've enjoyed before, and the day was perfect for sitting outside, in the shade. We started with their Sirocco margaritas, and added panko crusted Spanish octopus, little gem salad, roasted squash and goat cheese flatbread, and prosciutto with manchego. All tasty bites good for sharing. We also enjoyed the kids playing in the fountains.
