I've heard about Clyde's given that it owns Old Ebbit Grill; however, I'd recommend Old Ebbit Grill over Clyde's.
While they have similar menus, the quality of the food felt lacking. Specifically comparing the salmon at both restaurants, I'd recommend Old Ebbit Grill.

Much bigger inside than it looks outside. Great crab cake. Catfish: nice cook, but mired in overly salty sauce. Shrimp grits decent. Desserts a bit heavy handed, but good flavors.
There was a large party of us and our table was in an awkward place but we made the most of it. Our server was excellent, very knowledgeable and friendly. The food was great. The crab dip to start was especially good and despite a lot of bones, the trout was good too.

Very crowded during Thanksgiving, but the waitress at the bar is very nice. Ordered a well-done steak while it seems to be only medium-well. Not too bad though.

This is a great location, which means long waits during busy hours, especially on weekends. The inside feels a little crammed and you may have to squeeze your way to the table or the bathroom. A DC staple that locals (hipsters) love to hate on because it’s a micro chain. This location is great and I always seem to get seated in the atrium next to the fire place. Love the fries and crab cakes. Good selection of draft beers and two nice bars makes it a nice escape from busy Georgetown

The food here is nice, the crab cakes are the main dish, a bit simple but quite delicious. Our server was fabulous, loved her, and the ambience is fun. If you're touring DC I'd definitely recommend coming here once.
