Delicious! We came here for a quick bite and everything was pretty yummy. They have natural juices as well those were pretty good. The place is small place not to many tables, however food and service was good.
I had never tried Salvadoran food until El Rinconcito and it blew me away. This place is an underrated gem. Spinach and squash pupusas were very tasty and homely. The burrito was unlike any southern American food I had ever tried, full of flavor. And the seafood soup was a challenge to eat, but very
Awesome Salvadoran food. Very home style, everything was fresh and made in house. The pupusas was my favorite. You can taste how fresh the tortilla was. Great spot to support a local business and eat tasty food.
What a lovely experience! We rode our bikes from DuPont Circle to the restaurant for dinner and walked into a quaint space with a welcoming staff. Our server was adorable and attentive, he even let me take a copy of the menu when he saw me trying to grab a good pic of it. I keep it with my DC souven
This place is a gem for mexican food. And their food is very very satisfying. We had platter and papusas. Everything was so very flavorful and delicious! ☺️☺️
This place is a gem hidden on 11th St. NW. The pollo y queso pupusas are delicioso! That chimichanga though, OMG! 😋🤤😋 I ate that platter in 2 halves because that chimichanga is so well stacked that just 1/2 will do you unless you have a healthy appetite. We received a bag of pickled something with o
When I lived in dc I order from this restaurant a lot, and my go to dish was either sopa de res or the seafood soup. For someone who love soup their food is very comforting. I’m back in dc to visit and I just had to come back to el rinconcito. Once again, not disappointed!
El Rinconcito appears to have a loyal local following, and with good reason. For lunch I had the chicharrones fritos ($17.55, tax included) which I found to be a simple but satisfying dish. The service was friendly and prompt.
Great food and friendly folks. Nice authentic dishes with rich flavors. Popular with local Hispanic crowd which is a major plus. Staff are friendly and helpful. Yum!
Nice little spot for great Salvadoran food. Great service, even better food. Definitely worth it. Every time I come to DC I make a stop by.
Absolutely delicious pupusas for a great price. Definitely get the revueltas! The person I was dining with ordered the tamales de elote, which she said were also delicious. We tried the empanada de platano as well, and it was as fantastic as a plantain empanada stuffed with cream sounds. It's a smal
El Rinconcito Cafe (translating to "The Little Corner Cafe") is a small Salvadorian restaurant that provides a breath of fresh (tasty) air to the largely new American flavors in this area of D.C. With friendly staff, their menu is pretty big - but the pupusas are the star here. The chicken and po
Very friendly family-owned business. Awesome pupusas, tamales too. Everything was delicious
My first foray into Salvadoran food and I wasn't disappointed. Reasonably priced items , lots of options in the menu and delicious food!
What a great hole in the wall! It was so cold and we were looking for something warm, and we saw that they served soup and that it was relatively inexpensive, and man were we blown away by the beef stew. It was SOOOO GOOD. It soothed the soul. There were carrots, tripe, tendon, bones, a knob of corn
Food is very tasty. I had the beef chimichanga and I thought it was pretty good. Also the pricing is very reasonable. The platter for chimichanga was $11. This place is in the heart of downtown DC so it's hard to get a better deal than that. I was there at the time that they were going to close and
Nobody does Salvadoran food like they do at El Riconcito Cafe. I first found out about this place from my boyfriend and his coworker who had been there once before. They raved about how great the food was but I honestly underestimated how good it was until I tried it. It’s a nice, small cozy restaur
