Perfect hotel restaurant! Gorgeous space, the most kind staff I’ve ever had at a place like this. The host was exceptionally lovely, wonderful waiters, and super talented and very nice bartenders that were lovely to talk to.
Everything from the place settings to the coffee cups were just so nice. For a chill brunch spot it was just so fun and lovely. Very well done and thought out. After a week of traveling and going out, my simple egg white frittata and black coffee saved me. My boyfriend loved his chicken and waffles, super crispy and well seasoned. Portions were pretty huge, we probably could have shared a main and gotten a snack or something, we had a bunch of walking to do later and we definitely needed a nap.
Sometimes hotel restaurants just phone it in, but I’d come back just to eat here. Great spot.
Lovely brunch place for a date or even a girls day out! The menu has a lot of good options to choose from, some gluten free and vegetarian as well. I loved the egg white frittata and I ordered a side of smoked salmon to go with it and I would definitely recommend (add a piece of toast to it). We did sir outside and the service was tad slow but that’s expected for outdoor seating and a Sunday.
I would recommend and definitely be back!
Great lunch place. Booking in advance is a must. Service was wonderful, very pleasant atmosphere and good food. Interior design is on point and they also have spacious outdoor seating. The Pembroke Burger was our favorite.
Restaurant is also next door to several book stores - makes for a perfect after lunch walk. Will definitely come again, excited to try their brunch menu.
One of the highlights of brunch at the Pembroke was the diverse and creative menu. From classic brunch staples to innovative twists on traditional dishes, there was something for every palate. The quality of ingredients was evident in each dish, showcasing a commitment to culinary excellence. We had the Grand Mariner French toast and the citrus pancakes😋
I had dinner here wed and Thursday. On wed, I let the waiter know I am gluten/dairy free and can't tolerate spicy food. I asked him to talk with the chef to see what is easy to make, this is what I normally do. He said tell me what you want and we'll make it happen 🥺 really, for reals really! Yes they did. I had the sea bass on wed and ribeye on Thursday, perfectly cooked and tender. My SO had pasta and duck. Also amazing and well cooked. The drinks were delicious and the wait staff superb! Both nights were a wonderful experience ❤️
This place seems to get better every time we eat there.
The service is always great, and the food is amazing.
The eggs Benedict is my go to brunch option here, and it’s great. In place of an English muffin they use a potato cake. It’s the perfect match I never knew I needed!
Also, if you’re into coffee, for my money, The Pembroke has the best coffee service of any brunch in DC
A wonderful spot for either breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Really enjoyed the Steak & Eggs as well as a delicious latte for breakfast. The mussels were a particularly delightful appetizer for dinner. We literally scraped the bottom to get every last bit. Highly recommend coming here, especially if you are staying at The Dupont Circle Hotel.
My husband and I went to the Pembroke for our anniversary and I must say we had an excellent experience. Their grilled octopus was a delicious starter. My husband got the mussels and I got the chicken divoli and we were both happy with our meals. We got the truffle frites and brussel sprouts which were also delicious. The stark cocktail was excellent if you’re into boozy drinks. Overall we had a great experience. I definitely have to mention the top notch service we received. Super friendly and caring staff. Atmosphere was really cute, like a retro chic vibe. Dessert was a pleasant surprise with a chocolate lava cake.
Amazing experience! Eric is an exceptional bartender, Jennifer made sure every detail was top-notch, the food was incredible, the decor a delight, and lastly and most importantly, we did NOT have reservations due to coming in from out of state last minute. We were politely seated at the bar and enjoyed every minute. Thank you!
This is a really cute place with some of the best service I've experienced in DC. The scallops entree was very delicious. Good cocktails too and I appreciate a light dairy free dessert option (seasonal sorbet!). It's not cheap but it's a nice special occasion spot.
