Keren Restaurant - Washington DC - Photo album

Authentic delicious Eritrean / Ethiopian food! Everyone who works here is so sweet and it felt super homey. I loved the food I ordered and would be great to share with a few people. The food is extremely affordable and you could easily go here with a 4+ people without worrying about a long wait. Wen
What a wonderful surprise on our trip to dc. We were looking for something different and came across Keren restaurant. The food was so good and so different than anything we had before,... and the staff was really friendly and welcoming. It was definitely worth the wait and would recommend this for
This is an amazing Eritrean restaurant! I try to visit it every time I go to DC. I’ve never had to wait before but this time we went on a Saturday and waited more than an hour but it was worth it. We usually get the Keren special with chicken, only $18 and way more than enough food for two people. T
Keren is located in a high-energy neighborhood full of mom-and-pop shops. They operate a very modest space with great food and warm smiles. The food was good. The beef could have been a bit more tender. The injera was great. Soft and tangy. There is 1 lady taking care of the front of house.
Delicious food, amazing atmosphere and excellent service as well. I’m so pleased to visit and have this beautiful experience today. It deserves 5 stars ladies and gentlemen. Thank you.
A small eritrean restaurant, with good (but spicy!) food. There are not many tables available, so it is quite busy for lunch. Be prepared to eat with the help of the injera, a kind of pancake, which is used to gather food and bring to the mouth. If required, forks are available.
Great food but sadly we ordered the wrong items since it’s our first time. They put jalapeños slices inside which made my mouth burn BAD and it’s decently priced. The waiter looked unenthusiastic. The good thing is that the service is nice and they returned my charger that I left there :)
Amazing Eritrean food! It was my first time trying Eritrean cuisine and this restaurant definitely exceeded all expectations. Prices are very reasonable and for two people, one entree was enough to share but we weren’t too hungry to start with. The staff were very friendly! There wasn’t too much sea
look, this is no fine dining restaurant and so you should not expect a fancy interior or “impeccable service.” this is a homely establishment for ethiopian/eritrean food with - excellent value for money ($25 is more than enough for two) - a fun style of eating for something casual - GOOD FOOD. perio
Run, don’t walk to Keren! Everything I had was delicious, and there’s still so much left to try. The fish dulet was so flavorful. I would ask for more sides next time. I’ll be coming back and getting the egg silsi next time!!
