Beautiful hotel. We stopped into the quill for pre dinner cocktails and an appetizer. Very friendly staff. Good drinks and nice little menu. Even have entrees.

Had a great experience here. Ordered and enjoyed oysters, tuna tartare and drinks. It was a busy night but not noisy. The staff are friendly and provided good service. Felt safe waiting outside for an uber.

I wish my memory was better because the bartender here was fantastic, she was truly an expert at her craft, great recommendations and very friendly. The food and drinks were fantastic, high end and a touch pricey (appetizers, lunch for two and 6 drinks ended up being about $400) but it felt worth it as we really enjoyed the afternoon there. The creative cocktails really were fun to try (the photo is of a mushroom cocktail, crazy right) and it made it interesting and different.

We tried all three of the most famous hotel bars in DC. The Quill was our second favorite. The quality of the drinks was excellent and the making was very much a craft cocktail experience. The negatives would be that it is a little sleepy due to its more remote location, the bar snacks are not as elaborate and the interior is more sterile. On the plus side, it has a lovely outdoor patio.

If you are looking for a great cocktail in a classic setting this is the place. It is a bit pricey but the cocktails are top notch and the staff makes you feel at home. The Your Uncle in Bel-Air is made with Uncle Nearest 1884, one of my favorite bourbons. My wife said her Suave Poivre was one of her favorite cocktails of all time.

What a great experience visiting The Quill. When we arrived there was no place to sit at the bar or restaurant, so our waitress let us go in a little room with a couch and TV, she brought our drinks while we waited. They treated us so special! The drinks are the very best, served with olives and a variety of nuts. We left happy and elated. We will def. return on our next visit to DC The Quill is located at 1200 16th St. NW in Washington DC 20036

A classy spot! So perfect for a date night, night out with friends, or celebration. Such a small, cozy, and quaint spot. Great cocktails and food. Lovely outdoor seating in addition to upscale lounge.

This is becoming one of my favorite bars in town. The atmosphere and vibes are great. “Katie” the bartender was amazing. She is super friendly, attentive, and she is really really knowledgeable about cocktails & drinks.

Great atmosphere, friendly staff, and great cocktails. Quite pricy though, but after looking around the hotel you’ll understand why. They give cashews and pickled vegetables to you while you wait that are very much appreciated. Type of place you’d want to frequent if you want to run into politicians or others with power

Enjoyed the elegant and quiet drink for a catch-up with an old friend. The bar tender was very friendly even if the cocktails were a tad more expensive than I would have liked...

Extraordinary vibes, really friendly staff, and supremely tasty cocktails. Sat at the bar and a different time at a table, and thoroughly enjoyed both experiences. Really professional but also creative cocktail menu. Upscale but approachable. A favorite tucked-away spot in DC.

Wonderful, classy but relaxed Old School piano bar. A real pleasure. Just a piano and great piano player. You can sing along if you'd like. But it's not raucous music. Mostly classic jazz standards. Great bar service and comfortable seating, fitting for the 5-star hotel it's in. Highly recommended. Adding to this review: it's so sad, but they closed down the piano bar during covid. It's still a hotel bar, but this music gem in the city is lost... WHAT can we do to bring back the piano players???

Beautiful bar, interesting eats, high end cocktails but don't confuse this with a stand alone it's a hotel bar hang out. One of the nicer ones and I recommend it for people at the Jefferson. Even business meetings this is a nice spot.

A quiet elegant bar with outstanding service. Prices may be higher than other bars, but it's worth the extra money for the quality service and the ability to have a few drinks in a very civilized manner.
