Everything about Eddie’s merlot was amazing. From the time we arrived, we were greeted with a welcoming smile by the wonderful staff. The food was delicious and cooked to perfection. Our waiter was attentive and recommended drinks (nice wine selection) & also gave great recommendations for food! This restaurant is 10/10. My partner and I are from Miami so we do love a nice steakhouse and we have a wide selection when it comes to steakhouses back home and this place made us feel right at home. Best place for a date night! Must try. We will be back whenever we’re back in the Chicago area.
I can’t say enough great things about Eddie Merlot’s!!!!! We had such an amazing date night here! From the minute you walk in, the staff is attentive, kind, and super welcoming. Janey was our server and she gave us great recommendations. She was very sweet and made us feel cared for. The food was delicious and the dessert was soooo good!!!! The seafood tower was such a great appetizer and the filet mignons melted in your mouth.
Jack and Frank (management team) were so awesome and checked on us multiple times which we appreciated so much! It’s always impressive when GMs check on your table, to ask about your experience and how your food is tasting. That says a lot about a restaurant and we are definitely coming back soon!!! Food is beyond the WOW factor. Cooked perfectly and presented with pride. Food came out slow but there was a private dinner being held but still the food came out slow. We were there for 2 1/2 hours but not complaining as it was date night. Steaks were cooked exactly the way we wanted and they were well seasoned.
Atmosphere was outstanding and matched the tone of the food presented. I rated the service lower because side our waiter was not knowledgeable about the menu and had to go back to the kitchen a few times to get answers. We to ask for refills and often went dry for spells. Believe there were only 2 waiters for the entire dinning room so must have been short staffed? The people delivering the food to the tables were not aware of the table locations and were delivering wrong food to the wrong tables.
Not complaining as it just gave us more things to talk about, date night. All in all, the night was a success and we left satisfied! I will be returning next month for anniversary.

The brownie sundae is the best I’ve had. So warm and gooey and perfect and I could eat this every day for my whole life. They like light it on fire so it’s got a show as well. Cheese board was average, I thought the cheese tasted bad.
This was our fourth time dining at Eddie Merlot's and, true to form, it did not disappoint. Everything from the service to the food quality was exceptional. Granted, Eddie Merlot's is not an inexpensive dining venue, but the value is what really matters here. For example, my wife does not drink alcohol and asked the bartender for a non-alcoholic version of one of their signature cocktails. It was amazing! AND, instead of charging full price for the beverage in the absence of alcohol (as many restaurants do), the charge was a fraction of that price and we were only charged for a single drink when we were served two. Todd, our wait person, was relatively new to the restaurant, but seemed to know everything, answering our questions and providing great recommendations. We dined on Elk steak, a specialty of the season. When was the last time you had elk for dinner? Eddie Merlot's is a special place and, in our opinion, is one of the finest restaurants in the Western Suburbs.
I recently celebrated a special occasion at this restaurant and it was the perfect choice. I took my dad here for his birthday and he absolutely loved it. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive, and they made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. The food was also delicious, with a variety of options to choose from. I would definitely come here again for another special occasion or just a nice dinner out. If you're looking for a perfect place to celebrate, this restaurant is definitely worth checking out.
My favorite restaurant to go to for a relaxing, fancy meal. The service is impeccable, and the food is even better. They always make sure your steaks are cooked just the way you like them. The staff also provides excellent recommendations for wine and food pairings. They keep a rotating menu of specials that never disappoint - so much so that we still haven't managed to try everything on the regular menu yet!
If you are a steak lover you must try this restaurant. I highly recommend the wagyu steak. It is buttery and melts in your mouth. The texture is smooth and non chewy like traditional steak. Well worth the price. If you like crab legs try the king crab legs. The Atmosphere is art deco with muted lighting

I recently dined at Eddie Merlot's for my brother's birthday and had an amazing experience. The service was excellent and the staff were very friendly and attentive. They even brought out a complimentary crème brûlée to celebrate my brother's special day. The steak platter was delicious, and the sides were also very tasty. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience and I would highly recommend Eddie Merlot's to anyone looking for a top-quality steakhouse.
