$20.47 purchased a 3 meat platter (turkey, jalapeno cheddar sausage, moist end of brisket) with 2 sides (pinto beans and mac 'n cheese) and 2 bottled waters. Later, we went back and purchased both the peach cobbler and banana pudding for an additional $6.50. The brisket is right up there with the best in Texas, and the sausage is not only good but packs more heat than any we have sampled elsewhere (and that's a lot). The turkey is special-- in our judgement one of the 3 best in the state, and top ten nationwide. The pinto beans are excellent, but consider the pepper jack centered mac 'n cheese "must try." We found the cobbler to be a bit dry, but the banana pudding is tasty and smooth ... a good finish. Highly recommended.

I’m not exaggerating when I say this is the best barbecue I’ve ever had! The brisket was phenomenal. Perfectly seasoned, falling apart and smoky. Pork ribs were perfect. Collard greens, mac and cheese, and pinto beans were amazing. My wife and I got two plates with two meats each and we couldn’t eat it all. I just finished the leftovers and it prompted me to write this review. We drove over an hour from Houston and we’ll definitely be back. I’m assuming it was the owner who served us and he was very nice. He gave us some extra burnt ends! Also, my wife loved the homemade pickles. It’s a small, family run place with plastic plates and utensils. I’m originally from Louisiana and we just can’t get barbecue this good there. Can’t wait to go back!

WOW!!! This place has some of the best brisket I have ever had. My co-worker and I were down from Dallas for a job and this place was recommended by a gentleman at the business we were working at. My co-worker had the mac n cheese for one of his sides and said it was amazing. I missed out by not getting that. Their pulled pork is also excellent and the jalapeno cheddar sausage is slighyly above averave but all in all the meal was perfect.

Best brisket in Brenham. Maybe even in the entire state but that’s another debate for another time. Cooked perfectly to cut with your fork but still moist, not dry at all. A great balance between the salty rub and smoke flavors. Pulled pork was great with a good smoky flavor. Their mac and cheese is a jalapeño mac which was a very pleasant and yummy surprise. They have kids meal options (PBJ, Grilled Cheese, or Hot Dog) for very reasonable prices and the owner gave the kids free ice cream, which won us over. We will be coming back here next time we are in town.
