Cold Stone Creamery

I am going to keep negatively reviewing places that don't require their staff to be friendly and helpful. Went to this store in Niles for the first time last night, and I won't be going back. The young man who "waited on" (I use this term loosely) was aloof at best, and I felt downright unpleasant and discourteous. Since this was our first time going there, I was pretty unfamiliar with how it works. Nobody greeted us as we entered. We finally walked down to the end and saw the ice cream. We went there because I had seen them advertise almond milk ice cream. I asked the kids if they had that. He said no. Then my wife saw the poster hanging in the store so I said that do you have that? He then said yes. So I ordered a small dish. He asked if I wanted anything in it. Like I said, I had never been there, wasn't sure how that worked, so I told him it was my first time and I didn't know how that worked. Nothing. Not a word. Just stood there like I was taking his valuable time. I finally walked down to where I found toppings. After several minutes he managed to meet me down there where he said nothing. So I picked 2 toppings and he finished my dish. Then he moseyed down to where my wife was still waiting to place her order and gave her similar treatment. Now, this kid didn't overtly say anything discourteous, his body language and demeanor were saying much more than what his mouth did or did not say. If managers are not going to require employees to smile and be friendly then I am not going patronize their stores. This place is awful, and the ice cream is nothing special either.

We came in around 8pm on a Friday night. There was a line about half way down the counter. Young lady with purple hair (did not get her name) was working by her self. She did an amazing job at staying calm while people kept walking in. Everyone was super patient with her. There should be no reason she should be working by herself on a Friday night. This girl deserves so much credit.

I’m a door dasher and this is probably the worst place I’ve been to around the evening. The two younger kids that work in there care about absolutely nothing. There is no hustle. They don’t tell you if they’re working on your order or if it’s done. I was in there for 15 minutes tonight and got zero help for the second night in a row. The people in line didn’t get helped the entire time I was In there. They probably got 4 different mobile orders while I was inside, and every single one was ignored along with all the dashers that were waiting. Two kids and no management. I feel like I’m turning into my parents writing this, but this place deserves a terrible review. Get some help in there or someone with some hustle! Maybe a manager!

They advertise delivery but all they do is have a door dash driver show up. Last night they refused to make my order when the driver showed up and refused to give me a refund. I called my bank, and credit card company, and we are reporting the store and managers to corporate but we've decided to just go higher up. Avoid this location and it's but excuse of workers. Imagine being an incompetent in an ice cream shop, where everything is already prepped. Lazy pathetic workers here.

Ordered a cake online only to go pick it up and then not have it at all. They didn’t even call me to tell me they didn’t have it, when I arrived to pick up my cake the man behind the counter said “yeah I didn’t get your order ready because we don’t have that cake”. I received an email confirming my order before arriving at the store. I paid for a cake that wasn’t there and then was offered a smaller one and no refund to replace the difference.
