Miranda Rays By The Bay

We went on Thursday evening for dinner 8/13/15 and we didn't have a problem with our waiter he was nice and friendly, the problem was the food, was overcooked and the taste was less than appetizing for both myself and my wife, , She ordered Shrimp and Scallop Scampi with a lemon, butter and garlic sauce over linguini , and the sauce mostly tasted like pure lemon juice, not even a hint of butter or garlic , the Shrimp were tough and way overcooked . The meal I ordered was called Momma Mia , Chicken breast with eggplant and Prosciutto topped with mozzarella (which was tough as leather,) served with under cooked veggies, ( zucchini, carrots and broccoli) and over cooked shrimp topped with a tomato basil based sauce which tasted and looked like Campbell's tomato soup from the can. The French Onion soup we ordered before the meal seemed to have mozzarella cheese instead of the customary Swiss cheese, It was burnt from either a broiler of a torch which make it hard with NO Italian bread in the recipe rather they used croutons. it tasted like something out of a can . I wouldn't recommend spending your hard earned money on a dinner that was totally unfulfilling . The dinner menu is pricey for the poor quality of the food we were served . The unsweetened Ice Tea was the best thing we were served last night..

We loved our experience at Miranda Rays! You can't find a better waterfront location around. The food was great, with many options for both adults and children. Miranda (who owns the restaurant) came by and visited our table multiple times - taking time to talk with our children and get to know our family. We will definitely be back!
