Vardon's

We are regulars so even know which rooms to try and book especially important as one of our party is in a wheelchair. Service in the Oak Room was a bit slow but Vardons Ok . Very disappointed that a previous complaint to improve wheelchair access from Vardons to the balcony hadn't been taken on board. Mentioned it again last week . A very simple job to do

fantastic golf course and a great venue for a golf day. Had a lovely spa swimming pool and Jim. The breakfast are really good as well. Hotel rooms are adequate but as it’s an old building there is no air-conditioning so it can get a bit warm in the summer, although they do provide electric fans when needed

An absolutely wonderful property. Spectacular grounds, building and history. Good food, drink and caring friendly staff. LB from the front desk took time to show me some features of the Bonvoy app and was wonderful with customer interaction. I stay in hotels an average of 8 days every month and have done for 38 years and this one stands out. I hope to be back soon.

Beautiful hotel & grounds. Couldn't fault the service at all, just a shame we were there on the hottest day of the year. No air-conditioning in any of the rooms, the windows only opened about 3inches and we had to request fans, ice & water constantly. Such a shame when a wedding party is trying to get ready. Obviously the weather is not the venues fault, but a hotel of that standard should have air-conditioning options.

First time here having afternoon tea. We arrived slightly early and could not get a pre drink anywhere and staff seemed elusive bit once Inside the dinning room the staff were very attentive. There was a lovely selection of English sandwiches, which were very kindly topped up. The cakes were delicious and the scones really good. We selected the champagne menu and it was worth the price point. They have a great selection of tea too!

Excellent hotel, lovely rooms which are well decorated and spacious. Excellent staff who know the hotel inside out and happy to make recommendations. The golf course looked fantastic too, was just a shame we did not have clubs with us. We stayed here the night before a wedding, and they happily accommodated a group over 30 with ease and the service was excellent as well as the food. Would definitely recommend a stay here for any occasion, the rooms are great and you will have a great nights sleep and wake up in a beautiful surroundings.

Lovely venue. However, signage is very poor for such a grand hotel. No mention of deposit when booking but was demanded on arrival. Arrived at room to find the joining door was not locked, this then took 45minutes to sort. Beware of service charge at restaurants as we paid as ordered and only realised once paid.

What a beautiful property!! The gardens are spectacular 😍😍 Had an amazing stay, golfed 9 gorgeous holes with rentals and the gentleman in the shop was super helpful 👍🏼 Spa is great, got an awesome massage from Emmy - thank you for a relaxing day!! All of the restaurant food I was really delicious, and afternoon tea dessert spread was fantastic - thank you SO much Madalina & the kitchen for your wonderful work!!
