We order once a week from Mizuno and really enjoy everything we have ever gotten from them. We miss you Mizuno and hope you’re open real soon. Other local sushi places don’t compare to your amazing food!
Very intimate atmosphere. It's a small place but the food was fantastic and was freshly prepared. Lots of appetizers even for people who don't like sushi.. the edamame was great. Very healthy, too!They have a wide range of options or you can go with the Bento box which is about$20. The prices are very reasonable. The desserts are also fab! Overall, the restaurant was very clean and the food was fresh. Lots of parking in the back, too! We had a great experience! Great for date night or even to take the family. Jackie and her husband Ricki are wonderful people and run a beautiful restaurant that aims to please!
I have never dined in here, but the space is cozy and pleasant when I go to pick up food. I also haven’t done delivery, so can’t speak to that. I’ve been ordering from Mizuno since 2019 at least. Their sushi and food is consistently fresh and delicious. Picking up is fast and easy. The packaging for takeout is excellent and protects the integrity of the food and flavor. They are a hidden gem on Long Island. 100% recommend them to anyone.

Great sushi ad rolls. It's a nice local restaurant that doesn't get the attention and recognition it warrants. If you are near Mizuno and you love sushi, get there.
They have delicious food here. I'm a fan of the dinner boxes, I usually go with chicken katsu and beef negimaki. Mizuno does both very well and I have never been disappointed. I'd say it's a little on the pricey side, but not too bad. I usually come to pickup my order, but the inside of the restaurant looks quite nice and I look forward to dining in soon.
I have compared every Sushi place from Long Island, Queens, and Manhattan to Mizuno and none have been able to top them, anywhere.. I'm very lucky to have a place of this quality so close to my residence! If you enjoy good Sushi and Japanese cuisine, please give this place a visit!
Without a doubt, one of the best sushi restaurants on long Island. The rolls are amazing, and the sushi portions are very generous. We have been to many places, and this is our favorite. If you are a sushi lover, give it a try. In restaurant experience only. As far as complaints about delivery is concerned, try going to the restaurant instead, much better experience. 5 stars!
Has lunch mid August '21 Nice clean place, fair prices and very good service. Had maki lunch with soup AND salad included. No complaints here. Parking around back if you're not lucky enough to get one in front.
Great sushi, reasonable prices, fresh fish. Mizuno has been one of our go-tos since moving to Merrick. We typically order a couple of specialty rolls and then round out our meal with the three roll special (pick any three, plus miso soup & salad all for $15).
Most of the kitchen appetizers are good too if you’re looking for a few land based selections, but I found the sushi appetizers a little small for the price. For example, the salmon chalaca consists of four bite sized morsels of salmon & tuna wrapped around fresh mango slices...for $12. For that price, I’d rather snag another specialty roll or something more substantial from the kitchen.
After some trial and error, we have a pretty generous shortlist of favorites here, chances are you’ll be happy here too!

Excellent sushi and rolls, much better than most in the area. Only wish is they had other not-so-Japanese soup options like hot & sour or Thai soups, but maybe it's just me. Definitely recommend!
And now they do have hot & sour!
Delicious sushi, loved the California roll, spicy s shrimp roll, and spicy tuna. Dessert was amazing too, loved the soufflé
Very happy with the food and service. (Update 2017-12-10) We have now been here multiple times and have ordered delivery many, many times from their site. The food continues to be fresh and high quality.
