We were excited to try this place out given its positive reviews and close to our house. We called and were told the meals are weughed and cost $9.99 per lb, which we were fine with. We went at 530 so no crowds and we thought we would get everything fresh and seated fast. After filling up our plate and going to the meat counter, we were told there was only 1 meat ready and it was well done. Since we like thing rare, we asked how long it would take before other meats would be done. We were told at least 15 minutes. I said we would wait until there were options of meat we wanted. However, we were told that if we came back for meat it would cost $17.99. I explained that I did not want the well done meat and we were not told when we came in that it was the only option. They were very inflexible. So we took our business elsewhere. It was unfortunate since we wanted to support a local small business so too bad that they were not willing to work with us when it was their fault that they did not have food ready when they are open.

I leave in Waltham for more than 20 years I’ve been going into this restaurant since they open but I won’t come back anymore, NEVER, first reason is,right now food does not taste like a real Brazilian food plus a Spanish lady who works there, a small and chubby lady who serve cut my meat, she was really mean to me,she called me a liar, she screamed at me only because I asked her to change the meat she was cutting because was not cooked enough for my test , I was so embarrassed, the worse experience l ever had,never no one called me a liar only because of piece of meat. I will never come back, I used to know the owner he used to be Carlos but I’m not sure. Don’t recommend employees is horrible!!!!!!

They have 3 tiers of pricing; $9/lb for a plate of meats, salads & rice, $13/lb of your plate is 50% meat & $18/lb if your plate is only meat, which was fine. But once we got our salad, rice & veggis set and went to get our meats carved, they only had 1 kind of meat, and it was well done. We were told we'd have to wait for the medium-rare cut of the 1 type of meat. Ok. But we had to pay $9/lb for our salad and rice. Ok. But when we go back to get the meat in 10 minutes, we'll be charged $18/lb then because it is just a 🍖 🍽. I would have been fine paying $9/lb for my 1.3lbs of beef, rice and salad, but I was not fine being charged the $18/lb because they didn't have the meat ready. I would have been fine if they said come back when the meat is ready and we'll charge you the same $/lb as if you had gotten it all together the first time. Buyer beware; first on the undisclosed tiered pricing, and then on the limited selection and the bait and switch to the $18/lb instead of $9/lb.

It was pretty good but I got some really stale rice and some of my meat was too tough to chew. Also the flavors were lacking but didn’t taste bad just bland. I would still come back because the chicken was great and the salad was romaine which was nice with the cabbage but I wouldn’t drive out of my way to come here.
