Pig Rig Bbq

My boyfriend was in the mood for barbecued food, he usually grills by himself but wasn’t in the mood! We googled some places and found this one. We went there, the staff was super friendly as I explained it was our first time. She helped guiding us on how the restaurant works. We placed our order and went outside because they have tables and chairs out there. As we’re talking, a gentleman comes up to us and introduced himself as the owner. He was super nice and made sure we were taken care of! You can always tell off of first impressions their intentions. This guy was so enthusiastic about his restaurant. It was very nice having a conversation with him as my boyfriend just opened his own business and felt inspired. The food was definitely 10/10 and so was the service. I would highly recommend everyone to try this at least once! Thank you 🙏

The pig rig is tucked in a corner down in Wallingford, right next to the Sliders Bar. The real star of my meal was the brisket!! Hands down some of the best I’ve had in Connecticut. But sadly, I wasn’t really impressed with anything. The Mac and cheese was basically out of the box and the chicken thighs I ordered had no flavor. Hopefully, they keep that brisket but work on those sides.

Simply awesome food and service. I am from the south and this is seriously some of the best BBQ I have ever had. Add to that exceptional customer service. We ordered and a person in our house has a tomato allergy. We called and they immediately told us they would remake the food they had sent with BBQ sauce. The owner brought us the replacement sandwich with an apology and the most incredible kindness. A++++ restaurant.

Very reasonably priced and a warm, welcoming environment. Unfortunately, the pulled pork mac & cheese had an odd gas-like flavor to it, the ribs ended up not particularly tender and the smoked chicken didn't have much smoke penetration through the meat. Maybe I just got a bad batch given the hundreds of other positive comments. Sauce selection was awesome too.
