Review Red Light Garage - Wallace

We sat down at just before one pm & after an hour we needed to request our order to-go. We had thought simple burger orders could be filled BEFORE we needed to leave for the silver mine tour - so thankful the tour guide waited! Everyone ordered fries, but we discovered after we left that most of us had been given chips instead. I would give this place one star, but the staff seemed to be doing their best & we're kind.

Overpriced for what they serve, and it took nearly an hour to get our food. They were not busy, yet a burger, a hot dog, nachos, and a tuna sandwich must’ve overwhelmed their kitchen. The good: The Nathan’s Hot Dog was great, and the nachos were good. The fries were very good, but as a $3 substitution instead of chips, they’re not worth it. The huckleberry shakes were tasty, but tiny. And at $6.79 plus tax, the shakes are an absolute ripoff. The bad: the chili burger was terrible, and the $10.49 tuna sandwich was tuna, mayo, and bread. Below average even if it was free. The service was nonexistent.

Amazing food and great service! So glad the family could stop in after walking around historic Wallace. Highly recommend their nachos and shakes!

Cute little place in Wallace, ID. They have burgers, hotdogs and a few other little things. I ordered the bacon burger and it was really good! Everything was fresh and the patty was hand formed. Plus the nostalgia of the place is worth the stop in itself!

Great fries! Great shakes! Awesome atmosphere and decor! Prices aren't bad. Such a neat little place to stop and grab lunch after doing the mining tour! We would definitely eat here again!

Very kitschy interior! Fun time looking around as we waited on our order, which seemed to take forever. Service IS slow, but many things to look at as you wait. Def would eat there, again, if ever back in Wallace ID. Fries were awesome! Choc Shake and burgers were good.

We are from the south and stopped in while visiting family (Forest and Alice) and I must say I LOVED the atmosphere! The staff was so friendly, and the food was incredible. We will be adding this to our "regular" stops when we come back to visit!

We visited the weekend of the car show. The staff seemed a bit overwhelmed, unprepared and surprised to be as busy as they were. We requested water, but were told they were out cups. (On a BUSY event weekend?!) The service was a bit slow, as the staff seemed to be unable to prioritize duties, customers entry into the establishment and thus who's order took priority. We did manage to order, and our food was delicious. The burgers were cooked to perfection and the lettuce was crispy and the onion, thick and hot! Yum! Our beers were cold and we loved all of the antiques. I played the jukebox and we took photos in front of the fun house mirror! Overall, we enjoyed our visit, rough start and all. Thank you for a memorable experience.
