Mom's Soul Food Restaurant

I visited Mom's Soul Food on January 16, 2014. The service was great and the food was good. My favorite is the garlic prawns and garlic noodles. I was so impressed with my meal that I ordered an additional meal "to go." The waitresses were friendly, even providing me with specific directions to the restaurant over the telephone. The owner was on the premise and ensured that I was pleased with my meal. I was. The atmosphere is hospitable and all the meals are affordable (i.e., as of the date of this review (1/28/14) Mom's offers a brown bag complete lunch meal for only $3.99) If you're on the island of Oahu, I highly recommend this treasure.

Awesome catfish! Don't let other reviews deceive you. The service is great with waitresses who can do nothing but smile, talk to you, and make you feel at home. Even the cooks come out to ask you about your meal. Yes, they will serve you at the table, and you can order at the counter if you like. Every dish is made to order and no it doesn't take long at all. Soul food at it's best! A diamond in the rough!
