Actually I haven't dined here but if I'm ever on the big Island I will definitely stop by to say hi to JB...its been over 30 years since this "Sea Hag" has seen him, lol!

Lacy makes the Lilikoi Cafe such a pleasant, inviting experience. And obviously the chefs know what they're doing because that loco moco was absolutely delicious and filling enough to give me lasting energy for the whole day. Mmmm!! Thank you!!!

They have real home made food here, not processed. Best food on the island. I can recommend the vegetable lasagna. And loved the very friendly service.

Food is delicious and healthy. Service is good and mixed. Friendly, but some servers are resistant to explaining or answering questions. Everything here is worth trying.

Lox & Bagels - a generous plate with chai latte was the perfect morning meal. Waimea is a welcome respite from the heat of the coastline and lovely town. Green grassy hills frame this special place. Linger there 🌺

Amazing! We wanted to experience authentic Hawaii dining, stumbled upon this place and it was fantastic. They made our orange juice and apple juice on the spot from scratch! The staff are friendly, hard working and making all of your food, nothing prepackaged. The only way to get more local would be to eat at the farmers house.

Lovely little local place. Ono grinds! Fantastic options. Two of us split the three choice fresh salad plate, a lilikoi coktail (fresh juice) and turkey sandwich on sourdough. Mmm! Will be back for sure.

Hands down one of the best places me and my wife tried on the island. They have lots of options to choose from. The service was fast and the staff was very friendly. If you like meatloaf the sandwich was absolutely delicious everything tasted so fresh.

Good little spot to stop for breakfast. Much better than the fast food alternatives. Potatoes were super yummy. Service was friendly and helpful. There is outdoor seating too on the sidewalk in front of the cafe. Or, if you prefer, plenty of room to sit inside as well.

Great food that leaves you in a great mood. It's a perfect place to start your day on your way to Hilo for some waterfalls and volcano. Their homemade salad dressing is great. The chicken salad inside the slice half of papaya is my favorite. A whole tray of the chicken curry salad is a wonderful surprise for parties. The pasta dishes and crepe plates have fantastic flavor with comfort food feeling. I always try to stop in there when I'm in Waimea.

This may not be the best time to write about restaurants as they are trying to deal with a mountain of rules AND deliver food to their clients. The owner-chef of Lilikoi Café was born and trained in France, which is, as far as food is concerned, about the best recommendation one can get. The variety of dishes available is astonishing, from a simple but perfect mudroom cream soup to complex fruit and vegetable juices to a superb cheese and ham quiche served with one of the best fruit salad I have tasted. Plus prepared dishes of couscous, pasta salads, avocado and fish delights, and a number of home-made cakes and goodies. Chef Jean-Baptiste is there, making sure that the quality of the food is the same as before the you-know-what. I highly recommend this opportunity to travel into the past.
