First pass through, got here 45 min before close and they had run out of haupia for their pancakes. I thought I would die. But...they suggested the churro french toast so I begrudgingly ordered it and WOW. Sooooo good. Also got a side of hash browns and they were cooked EXACTLY PERFECTLY. Crispy all
Very cool mainland, "small town" local diner feel. Very sweet server as she was the ONLY server today.... food was really good. I tried the Loco Moco for the first time as a Hawaiian "plate". Would definitely recommend as what felt like a genuine Hawaiian locals joint
Absolutely amazing food! Very great pancakes and waffles, were very fluffy, and I highly enjoyed the omelette. Highly recommend!
The food is wonderful. Huge portions and great tasting. Both pancake n waffle are delicious. Hash browns is just right. Very crispy yet not too greedy. 😋
Do not Uber or Lyft to this location (see note in my parking comments). Ok, now to the good stuff. I can't say enough amazing things about this place. First of all every one of the employees is friendly, courteous and helpful.....but then again we found that to be the case with all of the locals a
Best breakfast on Big Island! Heck it might be the best breakfast in Hawaii (or possibly the whole USA…maybe even the world). It was so good that my friend and I decided to go back the next day! Generous portions, attentive and friendly staff, and delicious food. What more could you ask for.
I've only had breakfast here, but it was good enough to note. Large portions and by far the best pancakes I've ever had. Service was super fast. Definitely worth the drive up the mountain.
Huge portions, no/minimal wait wen we went in November. Papaya fruit & coconut pancakes were amazing. Cash only, but has ATM on site.
Could tell what they would serve by the name. I felt like there would always a line outside their door. But it wouldn't take too long. Ask about size before ordering. We got a plate of pancakes twice size of kid's face, which was fun and yummy. Might not a place for quick bite. But definitely worth
If you want hometown food and atmosphere, this is the place. Nothing fancy, but obvious family owned and treated like such. Huge portions CASH ONLY
