We had to wait a bit before getting seated. It’s not a huge place. Parking wasn’t difficult. Service was decent. I got the loco moco. It was good comfort food at a reasonable price. I loved the eggs and gravy over rice. Hamburger meat was soft. Many locals come here.
Down to earth place with fantastic food. Their dry saimin noodles are out of this world. The yakitori chicken is also very delicious. The staff are very friendly and the service is super fast once you get seated. There is often a wait for seats but it is quite worth it. For a 4-5 days trip, we ended
We entered the parking lot. And got seated immediately upon arriving inside the restaurant. The ambiance was very traditional like-busy, but inviting. The smell of noodle aroma filled the atmosphere, tickling my nose senses having myself more than ready to see what the menu has to offer. The menu ha
Amazing food and great price! Dry noodles are a must.
Small local kine food joint. Saimin was delicious. Banana pancake even better. Be prepared for a wait list if dining in. Worth it if you do.
I heart this Saimin house so much! Everytime I come to the island I visit this little gem. Tucked in an industrial area, you have to know where to go, and the locals certainly do! The beef sticks are my favorite to pair alongside a nice bowl of Saimin. I could eat this every single day. The broth is
Delicious food in a local spot that reminds me of HK cha can ting. Everything was homey and comforting.
Especially loved the wonton noodles. The wontons tasted handmade with a thick, chewy wrapper, and a juicy, chewy meat filling. Would go back if I visit again!
Really good local food. We got there around lunch time and only had to wait about five minutes. I'd say they had taken our order about 5 minutes after that and our food out in another 5 minutes. They really try to get you in and out fast. The good was great and also very cheap for Maui. Service was
Joy, served us for takeout and it was so ono. Mix plate & chicken plate & chow fun. Joy was absolutely fantastic and smiling all the time, as she took our order. Mahalo Joy ❣️
Food: 5/5
Service: 5/5
Ambiance: 3/5
Overall: I come here everytime I visit Maui!
The extended review...
Food:
Double Dry Min - 5/5 - SOOOO GOOD. The noodles are thick and chewy...just the way I like them. The little bit of broth helps to add to flavor but definitely don't need all that broth.
Super cool low key spot with solid food, nice people and unbelievable prices.
Excellent noodle shop. It gets really busy, so be prepared to wait a little bit to get in. The dry noodles are good and fresh. The kimchi at this place is excellent and should be ordered with your noodles to add a nice contrast to the dish. Service is excellent and prices are really fair.
Great local food. Our favorite waitress is Tiffany. She is absolutely the nicest person my wife and I have ever met…professional, friendly and accommodating. Sam Sato’s is lucky to have her working there.
Absolutely delicious! For three people, we got the large dry noodles and the super dry with veggies, plus a side of mac, and it was exactly enough (and we even had a little to take home!). If you want more vegetables + some scrambled egg, get the super dry, though both are delicious and come with so
This is not your typical noodle shop. They offered different flavors than you might see in the mainland. Some say the dry noodle wasn't flavorful, but I really enjoyed the noodle texture and subtle flavor. Once you add soy sauce (Shoyu) and some of their hot mustard it had a good balance if flavor.
Perfect spot to go to for true local food.
Banana Pancake, Loco Moco, Cheeseburger, BBQ Stick, Won Ton Min, Dry Min, Mac Salad, and Manju are all WINNERS! All this was for two people!
Still taste the same. It’s been a perfect time to come as the tourist season has slowed down.
The noodles are what people come for. It’s a little starchy but does taste good. The dry comes with the broth on the side if you want to wet it up.
Da best dry saimin!! Soup on da side. Friendly, helpful Staff, even though it was Closing Time. Ordered ahead for our friends, who were 3 minutes away. Food was fresh-made & delicious. Mini-turnoverrs were take-out & excellent afternoon snack. Go early, put your name on wait-list & relax outside.
Came in for an early lunch and the line was already out the door! The dry noodles and saimin were both homey and hit the spot. The noodles were the highlight but the BBQ beef stick (stranger in line insisted we try it) was also addictingly delish. Definitely can see why this place has been around fo
