We dined indoors and the service was great and our food was great! The place was clean and I would dine there again.

Well, it's in Hawai'i, so thats a plus. Friendly staff always. Patient with tourists. Great food, especially their famous, none better macaroni salad

The waitress was fantastic, food was decent, and the atmosphere was homey. Visited because my local friends recommended it. No wonder this is local favorites!

Enjoyed the last day of the miso garlic chicken plate and it was great! It was on the menu the entire month of October and I’m sad to see it go. Wish it could be a regular menu item! Very tasty. Can’t go wrong with anything miso flavored! Chicken chopped up to nice bite sizes and perfect amount of miso garlic sauce. Rice was decent today. Didn’t add too much water this time - look forward to it coming back next time. Nice meal to end a very rough day. If you haven’t tried it, when it comes back I highly recommend you give it a try! Update: 12/24/2022 Family had Turkey plate and Ham/ Turkey Combo plates for Dinner tonight. We get this every year. Available 2 days in November & 2 days in December 24/25 Comes with two scoops rice, corn and tiny mini scoop of stuffing. ( I made a huge pot of cornbread stuffing to make up for it and a pot of mashed potatoes for good measure. This meal will double for tomorrow too! ☺️) Supposed to come with tiny container of Cranberry Sauce but they forgot one 🙄 with the high prices please don’t forget the already little things!!! Good thing i had a gourmet cranberry with port in a glass jar at home! Meal was Good. Ham came with a rum raisin sauce. Im not a raisin lover but my mom loves it. Would recommend anyway though. Available only till tomorrow. Make sure to check your order to see if you have your cranberry. Update:01/14/2023 My mom wanted to try the Monthly Special today for dinner, the Furikake Miso Salmon Katsu Plate. She said it was pretty good but could use more miso flavor and less salty Furikake. My husband had the Chili Spaghetti Plate with Garlic bread, extra rice, 2 pcs. Chicken and french fries. 😅 He loved it, and I enjoyed the Korean Fried Chicken and Chilli mixed plate. I ordered it with the beanless chili and extra sauce for my Korean Chicken. I traded my husband my two scoops rice and mac salad for one garlic bread and also ordered a side order of fries 😄 it was delicious! Online ordering makes everything much easier and your order is much more accurate. 👍 Had a bad experience with Zippy’s so i had made a complaint. They listened and took care of the Situation to make everything right again. Feels good to know that even though the are a Huge Business, they understand locals keep them going and they care about our experience with them! Support local 👍 Update: 04/04/2023 My favorite Miso Garlic Chicken is Back and got to enjoy it today. Good as ever. Sauce is what really makes it delicious. My Husband like the Sweet Sour Sparerib plate and my mom liked the other special of the month, the Pork Eggplant. Said the eggplant was plentiful and soft. Good flavor. We ordered fries which were crispy and hot this time so that was good and bakery items. Apple Napple, Coconut Napple and Glazed Donut because the chocolate filled ones were sold out. Sorry i didn’t take pics for that!! But took a pic of the Miso Garlic Chicken this time before i ate it like all like the many times before 😄 Update: 07/07/2023 Tried the New Chicken Katsorean Plate today. Special available thru the month of July. It was pretty good! Same sauce used in the Korean Chicken plate but instead on their Chicken Katsu plate. Very tasty. I got mine with extra sauce. My Husband had the Chicken Katsu plate. He said it was good too. Onion rings I tried were pretty good as well. Warm and crispy. Fries are usually a hit or miss. This time was a miss. Floppy. My mom had the chicken long rice. Stingy on the portions with that plate. You can’t tell in the picture because its spread out but it really wasn’t alot. That needs improvement too. Overall was a good meal. Definitely try out the Katsorean Plate if you haven’t tried it yet and if your fans of the Chicken Katsu plate or the Korean Fried Chicken plate or if you just wanna try something new. 😄 08/04/2023 Every year I look forward to 3 Specials and August is the month for one of my favorites. The Shoyu Pork Plate. Tender Pieces of pork drenched in a sweet shoyu based sauce that’s not salty at all. Very nice flavor. Highly recommend it! 😋

Korean chicken made with dark chicken meat is great ! Not too sweet and texture in crisp. Chili with beans not displayed was tasty. Portions are huge and very filling!

Zippy's is our go-to place to eat when we want a sit down breakfast with a lot of different choices or when we want to eat out without limiting our choices to burgers, pizza, or a particular cuisine. Zippy's is not a high end place to eat and is more of a chill out and enjoy local favorites without having to dress up or strain your wallet too much. The prices are sort of middle bracket but can run higher than some specialty restaurants depending on what you order. The food is not gourmet by any means. I'd describe their offerings as more like comfort food, especially for those of us who grew up in Hawaii and are very familiar with Zippy's chili, saimin, Zip Packs, etc. Check out the menu and you will get an idea of what they offer and the prices. What I like about Zippy's is some of the locations have long-time staff still working for them. Cory, at the Wahiawa location has probably been there longer than anyone else working there. You will find her down to earth and friendly with a wicked sense of humor at times. We like her a lot and were lucky enough to have her table today.

Had Zippy’s recommended to us by a friend who grew up on the island, and I’m so glad we stopped! They have some pretty strict COVID precautions right now, but I appreciated that. My husband ordered the chili chicken mix plate and I had the Wun Tin Min, which was amazing. The chicken on his mix plate was juicy and crunchy (perfectly fried) and the chili had a great classic flavor without the spice. The saimin I tried was wonderful. Good veggies, tons of noodles and dumplings and flavorful broth. I don’t think I put my chopsticks down once! Can’t wait to try this place again!
