Great service from waitress and she explained how the food is prepared. We were very impress with her attentiveness. We went for early Sunday dinner, around 4:00. Not crowded at that hour and perhaps that was the key. 4 of us had a different dish and none was disappointing. Calamari was excellent. However, I like my salad served separately and I know now to request that in the future.
This restaurant is one of the best kept secrets on the North Shore. From the outside, it looks like a typical pizzeria of which there are 7.2 billion on Route 25A. As you enter the takeout side of the restaurant, the only entrance that is open, there is a door to a charming little dining room on your left.
The food is NOT pizzeria food. Oh, there are classic Italian American dishes like lasagna and chicken parmasean which are done great. But do yourself a favor and order from the specials. The crispy spicy calamari appetizer is the best calamari I have ever had. The portions are enormous. Service is friendly, personal and the owner, Scot, will see that everyone has a great experience.
Seating is minimal so arrive early or late on Fri/Sat. My only complaint is that the same sound track has been playing for the last year :) Prices are moderate especially considering the quality.
Edit - oh and the pizza is excellent also.
Ordered dinner from Bella Gusto. The owner is so nice! When I picked up our order, he even threw in a few zeppoles as well as a delicious appetizer (cant remember the name) with the freshest motzarella with chopped olives, etc., balsamic vinegar on top of a deliciously seasoned crispy bread for us to try!! So good! Needless to say, our dinner (pizza & a pasta dish that had sausage, chicken, peppers and potatoes) was also delicious! We'll definitely be going back to try some of their other dishes.
Always order our pizza from here. Scott is great and is always so friendly and so is the rest of his staff. Pizza is always amazing!
