Went back to Desmond's to celebrate our anniversary, the place we had our rehearsal dinner! Service was fast and friendly and as always, food was fantastic. Tried something new which I loved and my husband loved his meal too! Can't wait to go back!

Saturday date night at Desmond's did not disappoint! We had a reservation and were seated immediately. Our server was friendly, attentive and made sure we had everything we needed to make our dinner a pleasant experience. My brined pork chop was outstanding, I asked for medium and it was perfectly cooked. Also there were rave reviews over the calamari, chicken pot pie and the strip steak. All in all our table had a wonderful dining experience we look forward to a return visit.

Last minute larger group needed a buffet for after funeral. They did a great job accommodating us. Everyone was very happy and the price is very fair. The building and area is incredibly nice.

Enjoy indoor and outdoor dining at Desmond’s Restaurant located at East Wind’s hotel in Wading River, NY. Very pleased with the food and service. Prices compared to other restaurants are reasonable.

I had the short ribs with Pappardellee pasta Ribs were fork tender and the dish was delicious Draw back the pasta was not cooked properly. Most of the noodles were stuck together making them pasty and unable to eat

A group of us went to Desmond’s for the first time. I had made reservations ahead of time for a late lunch for 10. We arrived and was placed at a large round table which was great! Then we looked and there were dinner menus on the table. No one wanted dinner so we asked to waitress for lunch menus. She advised us that a group for a funeral doesn’t get the option for a lunch menu only dinner. We express our opinion on not being happy with that menu a few times and even advised this was not for a funeral. She said there was nothing she could. Needless to say, we were not happy with that decision. We were all looking forward to some burgers and sandwiches as we saw was available on the lunch menu. Food ended up being good, service was ok. Not sure I would go there again with a group of people.

Had Thanksgiving catered from Desmond's. The food was absolutely superb. All my guests were raving about the meal Everyone had seconds and I still had enough for leftovers. John and the entire staff did an excellent job. Wish you were doing something similar for Christmas!

Edit October 2022: I was there recently and am pleased to say I had a great experience. We had asked if there was still a separation of the room menus and if it mattered where we sat. I was told we could order off whatever menu we wanted and sit in whichever room. We decided to sit in the dining room and had no issue ordering off both pub and dining room menus with no issue with our party of 4. The food was phenomenal as always and am looking forward to coming back again soon! Original review below: Let me preface this and say I’ve been coming to Desmond’s for nearly a decade and have never had one bad meal. I am writing this review based on my frustration with a new policy the restaurant has put in place. The issue I have with the restaurant’s new policy is that they split the restaurant menu into 2 rooms, the pub area and the main dining room. In the pub you have access to the full menu, whereas in the dining room the menu is cut almost in half. You are now only allowed to order off the menu of the room you are sitting in, whereas before you could order anything from both rooms. I was there tonight and wanted to try some of the new appetizers but was told I would not be allowed to if I sat in the dining room. The pub area was quite busy and loud and I prefer the quiet ambience of the dining room when I come down for a meal and it felt unfair that I could not order what I wanted because I wasn’t sitting in the correct room. This sort of policy makes me want to come back less often even though I really love the food.
