Have eaten all over the world...but honestly, Michael is a world class chef. His daughter, Cassandra is an amazing sommelier and a gem! His wife is a doll! This place is truly a hidden gem and a first rate, top notch dining experience. Have been coming here for years and it is consistent and comfortable; amazing and wonderful. Enough said! Kudos!!!

Amazing! Had the sesame calamari appetizer which was to die for. Hubby had the walnut baked crab cake. For our entrees, he got a blackfish special, and I had a signature linguini dish with pistachio butter cream sauce (yes it was as ridiculously good as it sounds). Dessert was Tahitian vanilla creme brûlée and honestly I forget what he had because I was too busy enjoying my mocha espresso martini. I'm writing this post mortem because I died and went to heaven.

My husband and I just had dinner there Sunday evening. We walked in and were greeted by Micheal Anthony and Cassandra. We were seated out on the patio which was gorgeous! Then we told Cassandra kind of what we like and let her take over our menu!! She was FANTASTIC!! She nailed it! She paired cocktails and wine with the dishes she served us. The food was INCREDIBLE and I have NEVER had service like that in my life!! Please, take some time and visit Micheal Anthony’s! I promise it will be a dinner experience you will never forget!!!

Besides the service and the Food made to order and delicious the atmosphere is warm and friendly. We had the privilege of meeting and spending time with Karen, one of the owners and engaged in intellectual conversation. A real treat after a crazy week. We found our new go to restaurant! We loved it! There isn’t one thing we didn’t like. A must try

Fantastic food and service. I like that it’s family owned. Rob behind the bar won’t let you go thirsty. And the peanut butter pie is off the charts

So I am not big on reviewing places, however, this place needs the acknowledgements it deserves! The food is excellent the owner and staff are all amazing. We meet Cassandra who decides that she will order for us, if anyone knows me, knows that I am very picky. I couldn't believe that everything she brought to the table was amazing! We had about 5 different dishes. She also made me the perfect martini! What a wonderful experience, not just dinner, an experience! Can't wait to go back!!

My hubby and I are aspiring foodies and have been trying restaurants in NYC and Long Island. Let me tell you that Michael Anthony is by far the best chef ever!!! Not only is the food super fresh perfectly prepared and service is wonderful but if you have food allergies he will prepare you a gourmet meal without your allergin. Best of all its not a stuck up stuffy resturant. You feel at home and leave with a full belly and new friends. ( maybe even a new extended family)

A wonderful dining experience. We had not been there in over 2 years but was welcomed warmly even though you needed a reservation on a Saturday night. The menu is chefs choice. They ask you a few questions about what you like and dislike and any allergies. They brought over 2 glasses of prosecco to cleanse our pallet and hot fresh rolls with herb butter, rosemary infused olive oil and olives. Our appetizers were sauteed scallops, and octopus salad, both perfectly prepared. It was paired with a light and crisp Italian whit wine. My wife wasn't a fan of her scallops so they graciously brought over another appetizer of fried artichokes. She was thrilled! We split the pasta which was fettuccine with a roasted pistachio cream sauce. I wish I had more bread to get the sauce off the bottom of the dish. My main course was pork osso bucco with mango chutney and pipped mashed potatoes and my wife had braised short ribs with sweet potatoes. The main courses were delicious and cooked perfectly. They let us pick our desserts. I choose fresh berries cobbler with vanilla ice cream and my wife got lemon mousse. Both were as good as they sound. My suggestion is plan to go here for a wonderful dining experience!

Exceptional quality meal. What a wonderful evening. We allowed the hostess Cassandra to surprise us with her choice of dining picks. This allowed us to just enjoy the evening and each other. Atmosphere was romantic and relaxing. Well worth the 1 hour drive from Nassau county. Can't wait to return... Check the menu or be adventurous. You won't be disappointed. Fine dining at it's best... Enjoy!!

My husband and I came here for the first time tonight even though we've been local for years. We've been missing so much! Cassandra is an absolute pleasure to dine with and she has an amazing knack of knowing just what we both liked. It was refreshing to enjoy all of the subtle flavors in each dish Michael Anthony cooked for us- everything was absolutely delicious. Thank you again for the wonderful company and experience, and for laughing at my husband's jokes. This will definitely be our new spot for special occasions!

This restaurant is one of the best you will ever go to. The staff is amazing and very knowledgeable about the food, where is comes from, the wines and where they come from and what they pair best with. This is a dinning experience that is amazing that you wont find anywhere else. To the gentleman Sean who complained about inappropriate behavior, i don't know where you went but it wasn't Michael Anthony's . This place is family owned and operated and they treat you as if you are a guest at their own table.. To the lady who said the portions are small, these are normal sized portions, this is not a buffet. I'm a beefy guy and when i leave here i'm definitely full. For those who want more then just a meal, want a dinning experience, this is your place to go.

This is not a restaurant but a dining experience. Cassandra is a gem, possessing a wealth of wine/beer/beverage/food pairings. The amazing combinations are deliciously detailed to you - the plate carefully placed in front of you, as your mouth waters, waiting for that first bite! Chef Michael Anthony is creating masterpieces in the kitchen, spending time to make it just right. No cutting corners here. If you're looking for a delicious meal, a relaxing experience, a chance to unwind after a long day, make a reservation. Oh, and the desserts are to die for. Honestly. Locally prepared food, great wait staff! Your mind/soul/appetite will thank you. Over and over again.

My husband and I LOVE this restaurant! We dine in NYC regularly and this little gem is on par with any outstanding restaurant we have gone to. It is a family affair and the warmth and welcome we receive whenever we dine there is wonderful. I cannot for the life of me understand the one or two bad reviews. Never have we encountered rudeness or condescending attitude from anyone. I have to believe these people should look at their behavior...sounds as if they were the rude ones.

From start to finish exceptional. We were pleasantly surprised with the crudite, complements of the restaurant. Please let Cassandra pair the wine with the food. Our Appetizer was the Steak Tartar, and Entrees were Halibut and the Duck, absolutely amazing all the flavors. Our dessert was the Creme Brulee. Excellent Dinner. Service impeccable. Can't wait to go back.

Cassandra was an AMAZING hostess. Before I had eaten or drank anything I knew I would go back because of her. She took the time to go over the whole menu with us (I did not have my glasses and could not read it) It is obvious she LOVES what she does. She did not steer us wrong on anything, the food and wine were beyond my expectations. Highly recommend it.

This restaurant is a hidden gem on Long Island. The waitress, was the most accommodating, educated and passionate wineasaur and food creator I have ever had the pleasure of meeting! We went as a group of women and were treated like family from the moment we walked in. She asked if we had any food restriction. We were then taken on a journey as she started us with a “drink” to clear our palites, of Prosecco and another ingredient, Amazing!!! Then she served a wine along with its story of origin and creation. Then came our first course! Again we did not have to think once! She decided each of our meals, and wow did she choose better than any of us could have! Each persons meal was perfect to who they were and what “they” would have wanted. Each meal of course 1 and 2 were without a doubt the most creative, unique and best tasting I have ever experience in my life!!!! The chef and his daughter have created a place that is Michelin star quality. A New York City, Top chef-quality restaurant here in our backyard. Don’t walk to this place run!!! I cannot wait to go back!!! Love love love this place. No comparison! Ask for Cassandra ! You will not be disappointed.

I did a search on TripAdvisor to find a different restaurant we have never been too. I read the reviews on Michael Anthony's and decided to give it a try, and I was completely blown away! The service was fantastic. Cassandra came over and introduced herself, gave us a little bit of the back story on the restaurant and then a brief education on the wine list. What a great touch. After hearing the specials, we ordered: Karen started with the Butter baked clams, and I started with the crab cakes. We were also eyeing the Bacon and Honey glazed grilled Pineapple, and Cassandra suggested that we have that as well to share, as the appetizers are not overwhelming, plus we were both having fish for the main course, so it would not be too much food. She was spot on. The Bacon/Pineapple dish came beautifully prepared with a drizzled balsamic reduction, and the trio was both a delicious taste and texture in your mouth. As a second course we shared a pasta w/ pistachio dish that was amazing. (In reading a previous review from someone esle, they said they wanted to lick the plate, and after eating that pasta dish I felt the same way;) For the main, Karen had the Black Sea Bass, and I had the Salmon with fresh lump crab. Again, presentation and taste were excellent! Bottom line, truly amazing experience, super friendly staff, (they know a lot of their customers on a first name basis). The Owner/Chef (Cassandra's Dad), came out of the kitchen to say hello to each table... Very personable. Michael Anthony's really gets it. They have a passion for food, and it seems to be in perfect alignment with my passion for food as well. If I could give it 6 stars, I would. I've found my new favorite restaurant and we have already begun to make plans to revisit with friends.

The ownership is amazing and always involved in making your dinning experience a memorable one. Food is so good and not compatible to your favorite places. The service is so good and extremely friendly. Have to try it once and I will expect that you will be anxious to return.

The best restaurant on Long Island! Michael is a master at mixing flavors and spices that provides your palet a wonderful journey throughout the meal. Cassandra pairs the drinks and wine that complements the flavors Michael sends out to the he table. We highly recommend this place to anyone that journeys into wading river .

This is the most well known sports bar on the east end. Flat screen TVs where ever you look so you will see every angle and view of any game.. great food, and great service. my favorite is their Chicken wings-the best on the island. its also kid friendly anyway this is the spot when you're out east and you are looking for good food and drink at a reasonable price.
