My husband and I love this delicious, casual spot in downtown Waco! We’ve eaten here many times with friends and family, and everything we’ve ordered has been amazing. I especially enjoy their tandoori chicken kebabs and veggie samosas!
The space itself is modern with a covered patio space out front and tons of seating both indoors and outdoors for groups of different sizes. Would definitely recommend paying this gem a visit!
I had lunch at Stone Hearth on a weekday. The restaurant looks great, clean and modern. The menu options are wide, with lots of choices for vegetarians and vegans. I ordered the daily special. It was a great deal for the price. I was given a choice for the heat/spice level from mild to fiery, with "Authentic" as the mid point. "Authentic" is accurate for Southern Indian cuisine, but it is on the spicey side relative to what you might get in other restaurants. Keep that in mind when you order. Can't wait for my next visit!
The owner is super cool and has no problem explaining any of the items on the menu and can give good recommendations.
The marsala chai is fresh made with lots of ginger that makes it just a touch spicy, I generally like mine with less sugar but I still would recommend getting it!
The mango lassie is really good and they have more flavors to choose from!
The restaurant is very nice, i love the front patio with a great view of the historic court house. there is a really neat mural going towards the back of the restaurant that looks like you are stepping back into another time and place. The Indian styled door is a unique mural and the touches give the place a modern meets historically traditional in the little town of Waco. I love it!

Absolutely wonderful experience here and even better food! The gentleman that took our order and also was cooking these amazing dishes was an absolute pleasure to meet! He seems to be very hardworking and dedicated to his craft! We will absolutely be back and thank you for making our 6 year wedding anniversary lunch a moment to remember, I wish this business much success and happiness!
I have been wanting Indian food for a while and this place satisfied my craving for it. I had unlucky timing since they were restocking for lamb when I got there. Everything was made to order even the naan. The staff member was respectful and showed pride in cooking his naan. Later found out his position is to handle the cash register and the cook on shift was busy prepping food for dinner. The staff member was gonna finally eat his lunch but took priority of the customer to order and eat their food. Definitely coming back to try the lamb and enjoy good hospitality.
This place was amazing! The staff were super friendly and chatted with us for a while. I'd never had Indian food before and it was amazing from start to finish. We got some tea, the sampler and order of butter chicken, and it was all some of the best food I've ever had. I particularly liked the rice, and the sampler platter, but it was all delicious!
