This is our second time in 3 days to eat here.. we tried the one in College Station and just tried the Waco location. So good!!! All the food is made fresh including their tortillas. We love the South Padre Shrimp tacos and the tortilla soup is amazing. We hope they bring locations to Arlington/Fort Worth area!

It had been awhile since I’d had my beloved Classic Carne Guisada at the Waco Fuego’s. I have usually gone through the drive-thru, but opted to take my wife inside. Big mistake. There were positives. The queso is still better than most, my wife enjoyed her Nine-Juan-Juan meal, and the Chipotle Corn is hard to beat. However, my meal was served cold and the place was filthy. The Condiment Bar needed some serious attention, the floor had dried food and sauce on it, the trash was overflowing, and all around the drink bar was just flat gross. Look at the pictures. Do not know if I’ll be back. A little elbow grease and a step-up in leadership could make a world of difference. If not, it scares me that the front is a reflection of the cleanliness in back.

Update: I upped my review from two to four stars. Philip, the local manager offered to redo our meal and this time all the flavors were there and the fries were cooked and seasoned and a good portion size. It all tasted so much better. Thank you Philip for making this right. We will be back.
Past experiences were always good. It's been a while since I've been to Fuego's and you can definitely tell the difference. Wow. Not sure if I'll go back. I'm supposed to have two nice deep fried slices of avocado and I got mush. I also ordered a large fry, which cost $5.09 and it barely feeds one person, plus I had to finish them off in the air fryer because they were barely fried. HUGE disappointment from a place that used to be good

Went to fuego this morning around 5:30am and order a fuego steak. Got home excited to eat it and when I opened it they forgot the most important thing…THE STEAK. Been calling to complain and no one is picking up the phone. I’m just tired from work and wanted to enjoy my food.

The food is good. The place is kind of a mess though. As others have noted, the customer service is very poor.
Sad to say that this place has really changed from the time that it opened. This location and also the next door hawk's chicken sadly has really terrible service. I can totally empathize with the workers serving tons of impolite students but the way that these workers treat customers is really a shame. Very rude. The food is good but every person we interacted with seem like they wanted to be literally anywhere else but helping us. Never seen that before. Tried to thank them for their help but was shrugged off. There must be something going on that these employees hate their jobs so much. Hopefully management doesn't take it out on them by this review but tries to get to the bottom of this internally...

We had lunch here today. I had the fried fish taco. The fish was good, but there was no kick to it. I had to add hot sauce. It was also very messy. My husband had a chicken taco and charro beans. The beans were really good. He enjoyed the taco, but I thought it was a little tough. Service was really fast.
