Volcano's Lava Rock Cafe - Volcano - Photo album

Would rate 6/5 if we could! We ate here after a fun day of hiking at Volcano National Park. We started off with Guava BBQ wings and they were absolutely incredible. I had the Big O’ 1/2 Burger and loved it. My wife had the Grilled Mahi Mahi and said it was delicious. We finished with a homemade dess
Great little place to eat after a day of hiking at the national Park. Had the "Eruption" Burger which is basically a burger with a massive slice of cheese that overflows onto the plate. Ate the fries with all the extra cheese lol. Food isn't the best you'll ever have but for what it is, it's great.
Comfort food, pretty good not great. Rather pricey, which is to be expected, welcome to Hawaii. Menu photos attached, current as of December 2023.
Wasabi tours took us here for dinner which is a great place to come after a long day of driving. It is an extremely popular restaurant that eventually got lined up out the door. We fortunately had reservations so no worries there. The washrooms are clean so no worries there either. The burgers are
Not a ton of good places to eat near the national park so this place is a gem. Staff are very friendly, service was prompt and attentive. Food arrived fairly quickly and tasted great. I’d definitely recommend. 👍🏼
Good place to stop for lunch after a hike. It also has a gas station and a convenient store in the same lot. It was one hour to closing time and got seated within 5 mins. Nice burgers and crunchy curly fries. It also have some beautiful recent volcano eruption pictures on the wall.
It's a small local, place but don't let the looks turn you away as the food is pretty good. The homemade desserts are amazing 🤩
Good food on the way to volcano National park. Tour groups stop here to plan accordingly or call your order in to avoid waiting too long.
What a fantastic burger! The bacon 🥓 on the paniola burger was so perfectly cooked and massive amounts. The burger patty itself was so juicy and flavourful. Staff were so nice even though obviously busy and run off their feet. Pleasant and professional under is a sign of a great staff. KUDOS.
The cafe had a regular vibe (there are pictures that can be bought there - but I think they are overpriced), the food was good.
This place was amazing. The food was great, and it came extremely quickly, despite the fact that we had 6 people in our party. I got the paniolo burger (with bacon, BBQ, and onion rings) and it was very nice. Every part of it was cooked amazingly. Service was also very nice, and prompt. Prices were
We had dinner here while staying at the Volcano Village Estates on the 1st night. There are not a lot of food option near the area and many places closes early. Our lodge stuff recommended this place. The wait time was long since we didn’t have the reservation but the food was worth the wait time. W
Great place to stop and eat. I wouldn’t try to order anything fancy. We got the Lava Guava Flow drink which was very good. Also got the Kilauean Tai which was also good. Burgers and curly fries (beef and Taro) both of which I would recommend. All in all it was worth it for the price.
I got a teriyaki chicken salad. It was so delicious. Every bite packed with flavor, and the chicken was extremely succulent. It cost ~20$, yet it was a huge serving. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Surfaces were all very clean 👍 Nice staff as well.
I really liked the burger with the curly fries. The food was very well prepared and its quality really good. The service was friendly and relatively fast.
